CM Lauds The Services Rendered by the ITBP in Arunachal Pradesh

CM lauds the services rendered by the ITBP defence personnel in this frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh , who serves by enduring all types of difficulties owing to tough terrains and harsh climatic conditions in border areas.  He said, to facilitate for easy and faster movement of defence forces along the borders, connectivty in the border areas need to be improved to a great extent.

Gravely concern with the welfare measures of the defence personnels serving in this frontier state, Chief Minister Kalikho Pul strongly advocated for proper maintenance of border roads connectivity and provision of comfortable accommodation with basic facilities to them. He said this in a meeting with the Assistant Commandant of Indo-Tibetan Border Police of 25th Batallion C Company, Ravinder Dahiya who called on the Chief Minister under the instruction of G S Chauhan, Batallion Commandant.

He asserted that the poor connectivity with dilapidated suspension bridges and culverts besides poor maintenance of porter tracks to the routes leading to various forward posts  of the state like Chagalagam, Kibithu, Hot spring, Rocham, Kapapu, Tapatui, etc located near the internatinal border with china is a matter of grave concern not only for the safety of this strategically located state but for the country as a whole.

He assured to repair and maintain the border roads, dilipidated suspension bridges and foot tracks as well as to construct new suspension bridges, culverts and huts for their camp wherever necessary.

On being apprised that the ITBP personnels of the companies deployed at Raj Bhawan, CM Bungalow, State Assembly, Civil Seretariat and MLA Cottage in the state capital are staying in deplorable buildings with poor water and electricity supply and leaked roofs, Chief Minister immediately instructed the Executive Engineers of Departments of Power, PHED and PWD to inspect the buildings of all the said locations by tomorrow itself.  He asked them to make details survey, prepare the estimates and submit the report immediately. He further directed them to start the renovation work of the buildings by next week and to make provision for 24 X 7 water and power supply. He also asked them to properly renovate toilets, kitchen, dining hall and the approach road where found necessary with parking place. He instructed them to complete the work within three months.Assistant Commandant apprised the Chief Minister about the problems faced by the ITBP personnels in connection with the border roads connectivity and accomodation and also expressed their thankfulness to his concern for them.
