Chowna Mein flags off  team for Diploma and Degree course to Team Lease Skills University

Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein flag-off the candidates leaving for DIPLOMA and Degree Course to Team Lease Skills University, Vadodara in Gujarat from Banquet Hall here today.

Mein extends his best wishes to the candidates and advised them to master the skills in their chosen fields and come out as a skilled person to engage themselves in gainful employment after passing out from the institute.

This is a part of the programme initiated by the Chief Minister, Pema Khandu to provide 115 youths of the State with high end job oriented DIPLOMA and Degree Courses in Hotel Management, IT, BBA, BCom, Laboratory Technician in Team Lease University at Vadodara, Gujarat. Under this programme, courses will be sponsored 100% by the State Govt including to & fro journey, boarding & lodging and college fees.

In this regard, an MoU was signed between the Director of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Subu Tabin and Vikram Pandey, Provost Team Lead University in presence of Ashish Kundra, Commissioner Finance, Planning & Investment at Itanagar recently. As per the agreement, Team Lease University will provide placement to the minimum of 70% candidates with monthly salary of Rs 12000 for DIPLOMA course and Rs 15000 for Degree Course.

Tabin informed that in the first batch, 61 students are leaving for DIPLOMA and Degree Course this evening by bus from Itanagar to Guwahati from where they will board the train for onward journey to Vadodara. The candidates are escorted by one female and one male officials from Team Lease University from Itanagar onwards.

He also informed that Skill Development is a National Flagship Programme. Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana, State Govt aims to provide skill development & entrepreneurship training to 9838 youths within this financial year and by the end of year 2020, 29800 youths will be provided with skill development training.

He further informed that Vocational Training on skill development and livelihood are also provided by the Govt of Arunachal in all the 5 Industrial Training Institutes of the State.  He urged the unemployed youths to avail the benefits provided by the Govt.
