Shakuntala Gamlin, Arunachal new CS

Shakuntala Gamlin will be the new Chief secretary of Arunachal Pradesh. Shakuntala is presently principal secretary (power), now replace Ramesh Negi as the new Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh. Negi who had joined as Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh on March 30, 2014 after the then CS, Tabom Bam, IAS, attained superannuation, will now going to Join the Delhi Government.
Shakuntala is the wife of former Chief Minister late Jarbom Gamlin and is empanelled at Additional Secretary rank. For Shakuntala, this would be her second tenure as CS after more than two decades. Incidentally, she shot to limelight for her standoff with the AAP government in Delhi.
Anindo Majumdar, who was locked out of his office by AAP government, as he signed orders from Lt Governor making Gamlin temporary chief secretary of Delhi, has been appointed as chief secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Home secretary S N Sahai has been transferred to Goa. He too had been at loggerheads with the Delhi government over issue of ‘suspension’ of his two special secretaries. Sahai even stood up for them and wrote to the home minister, calling the suspension illegal. Arvind Ray, who is GAD principal secretary and had a rough stint when he was removed as home secretary, Delhi, has been posted to Mizoram.
Ashwani Kumar, environment secretary, has been posted to Goa. East Delhi DM, Govind Jaiswal, has been transferred to Goa. K K Jindal, secretary, Delhi Minority Commission, has been posted to Chandigarh.
Gitanjali Gupta Kundra, who is heading art and culture, and women and child development, has been transferred to Mizoram.
Jitendra Narain, financial commissioner, Delhi, has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
Former VAT commissioner, Sanjeev Kahirwar, has been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Anand Prakash, chief secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has been posted in Delhi.
Ramesh Negi, chief secretary, Arunachal Pradesh, who has been Jal Board CEO in Delhi, has been posted in the capital again.
