BSF’s Marching Contingents, the best among Para-military Contingents

Border Security Force (BSF), entrusted with guarding India’s land border during peace time and preventing trans-national crimes, stands as the world’s largest border guarding force. The 67th Republic Day was observed with great pomp and show by the BSF troops in the National Capital as well as in most of the State Capitals of the country. This was besides the celebrations in all the locations where the Force is deployed, throughout the country, According to a spokes person of BSF.

The BSF contingents along with its colourful brass-bands  participated in the march past at Rajpath in Delhi and also at Khanapara in Guwahati, Assam. Both contingents were adjudged the best marching contingents among the para-military and other auxiliary forces which took part in 67th Republic Day parade at the Rajpath and in Guwahati respectively, informed the BSF official.
