BSF nabbed two BD cattle smuggler

The BSF troops deployed at Gumaghat, South West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya nabbed two Bangladeshi cattle smugglers with four cattle/horses on International Border while being smuggled from India to Bangladesh on 10th Jan 2016. They have been identified as (i) Anwar Hussian (24 yrs) S/o Saiful Miya, (ii) Md Suhag Miya (24 yrs) S/o Ms Firoz Ali, both are R/o Vill- Lorigarh, Ps- Tharipur, Distt- Sunamganj (BD).

Two  mobile phones, two  Bangladeshi SIM, two memory card and BD TAKA 400/- recovered from their possession.  The BSF has increased its extra vigil along International Border keeping in view of cattle smuggling. The Border Security Force has intensified its operations on the Indo-Bangladesh Border to prevent such type of trans-border crimes.

 Besides above, the BSF have also seized 69 Nos Cattle, approx. 128.72 Cft Wooden logs, Liquor 496 bttls, 8 tons Coal, 2 Nos Boat, 80 Nos bamboo  and other contraband items worth more than 15.5 Lacs, while smuggled from India to Bangladesh on the International Border in last one  week.
