BSF apprehends Two Persons with Huge Indian Currency

The troops of Border Security Force showing their extra vigil on International Border, the BSF intelligence branch at Nokchi, West Garo Hills district, Meghalaya, carried out an operation on Hill Road and apprehended two Indian nationals  Nasib Miya, (23 yrs) and Bilal Hossain, (22 yrs), along with new Indian currency notes Rs. 29,73,205/-denomination (New Notes 2000 x 1485) = Rs. 29,70,000/-, and other smaller denomination notes of Rs. 3,205/- The BSF party also seized one PAN card, one Voter ID, two Driving license, one mobile with two Indian SIM and one Motor cycle Bajaj Pulsar Reg No- ML-08 C 3502 from their possession.

The apprehended persons revealed that, the seized currency belongs to one Sanjay Agarwal, resident of Mankachar and the consignment was to be hand over to one coal exporter namely Lophu Sangma. It is worth mentioning here that the Gasuapara is the export hub of coal for the Garo Hills region with huge Quantities  of coal going to Bangladesh through international trade on an annual basis.

 The apprehended persons along with seized items handed over to concern Police station for further legal action.
