The  BJP today gives performing, transparent and accountable government to all.  It is for these principles and ideologies of the BJP that the party has dominance in maximum states in the country, said Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu. He was addressing a BJP Janajati Morcha Rally at Agartala in Tripura on Wednesday.

Addressing the rally Khandu  appealed the people of Tripura to join hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP to make India free from corruption and ensure acche din for common people.

Despite heavy downpour, huge crowd gathered to listen to the young chief minister, who of late has been donning the mantle of BJP’s main campaigner in the North East. Thousands of tribal youths and women wearing their traditional attire took part in the rally and gave slogans like ‘communists, free Tripura’.

With Assembly elections fast approaching, the Janajati Morcha organised the rally on occasion of World Indigenous Day. The day is also observed as Quit India movement.

Addressing the rally Khandu said that “People are sick of corruption, red-tapism and nepotism prevalent in previous governments. They want a clean and accountable government which they have found in BJP,”.

Referring to Arunachal Pradesh, Khandu said that since BJP came to power, the first and foremost thing the government did was to bring in reforms through digital mission. He revealed that all out measures are being taken to strengthen governance by maintaining transparency, accountability and efficiency.

While informing that the Government servants have been taken good care by implementing 7th Pay commission and other perks in Arunachal Pradesh, Khandu expressed surprise that Tripura government employees were still under the 4th Pay Commission.

He said that BJP is a disciplined party which has started a crusade against corruption. Every BJP ruled state is focusing more on good governance, corruption free, accountability and result oriented development of the state and the country. Every CM has to give a report card of the developmental and welfare activities undertaken in his state to the Prime Minister and the National Party President, Khandu informed.

Khandu claimed that reported stories of the sufferings of the tribal community in Tripura made the people of northeast feel ashamed when the Modi-led NDA government had been spending crore of rupees for development of backward class and employment opportunity of the youths.

He said the previous Congress government did not do anything meaningful for northeast despite Dr Manmohan Singh being the prime minister and elected from the region. But after the Modi government came to power, the region got a boost in economy.

“We the people of Northeast realised Modi’s vision and as a result, people in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur chose to form BJP governments, which has brought a visible change in development graph in a short time,” Khandu stated.

He expressed optimism that this time BJP government would come to power in Tripura, as tribal of the state seemed to be the worst sufferers in the leftist rule and not getting proper healthcare facility, purified drinking water and sustainable sources of income due to anti-tribal policies of the communist government.

“Nobody bothers whether the chief minister walks on the streets or uses expensive cars or stays in a hut or a multi-storied building, people want employment and best opportunities of livelihood, education, healthcare, communication and most modern facilities; BJP can assure the overall governance and service in Tripura once it come to power in the next election,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, BJP Tripura state president Biplab Kumar Deb termed the rally as beginning of the movement for ”communist free Tripura” as the way Gandhi ji had launched Quit India movement against British on the day in 1942.

The event also addressed the alleged deprivation of tribal communities in the state over the years. This is the first time a mainstream party is holding such a huge rally for the state’s indigenous people in the state.
