Bhanubhakta Acharya Birth Anniversary Celebrated at Pasighat

Nepali Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad (NSSP), Pasighat remembered the great Nepali laureate Bhanubhakta Acharya on his 202nd birth anniversary on Sunday. Large numbers of people irrespective of their social position, caste or religion joined the glittering function.

The function was started off today with the lighting of the inaugural lamp and garlands to Bhanu Bhakta’s portrait by the East Siang Deputy Commissioner Isha Khosla in presence of Medical Superintendent Dr. YR Darang and senior members of the society at Engo Takar Hall, Central Gangging, Pasighat.

Addressing the massive crowd at the event, the Chief Guest Khosla said that Adikavi hanubhakta Acharya was a genius of his time who translated the epic Ramayana from Sanskrit to Nepali. He appealed all to preserve and promote the unique Nepali culture, traditions and customs amid the wave of modernization. She gave away trophy and certificates to the meritorious students who have secured good marks in recent Class X & XII examinations.

National Coordinator, NSSP, New Delhi, Narayan Sharma, NER Coordinator Binod Khanal, East Siang NSSP President Amar Chettery and Secretary Toplal Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
