Candle March for Late Toko Yame
Several organisation and youths of Bhalukpong carried out candle march and peace rally in the thoroughfare of the border town of West Kameng district bordering Assam on September 30 in memory of Late Toko Yame.
Aka Elite Society (AES) and All Aka (Hrusso) students union held a candle light rally/march in memory of late Toko Yame, students of JVV Tawang who got missing on September 16 and later his body was found after 8 days, and reportedly murdered after group class by the students in Tawang.
The candle march which began from mithun gate and culminated at the general ground where the AES leaders address the gathering.
AES Vice President Labi Dususso in his address express his grief on the incident and loss of young life and termed it as a cold blooded murder and side by side appeal one and all not to give communal colour in the issue. Labi said that criminal have committed crime which have no colour and religion and they need to be deal as per law of the land and punished so that they may think twice to act again. He also said that justice should be delivered to the family.
Upper Bhalukpong ASM Jivan Yame who is also relative of late toko thanks wholehearted support of the people of Bhalukpoong township irrespective of tribe and religion, he hope that justice reached to the family and proper investigation is done.
Two minute silence was also done to show mark of respect to departed sol to rest in pace.
