Tree gives us everything what they have with them but we as a human being cut it for our selfish end, we need to save trees for a better environment, said  Minister for Urban Development, Land Management and Doimukh local MLA Nabam Rebia.

Nabam Rebia  was addressing the PRI members, local residents and students of Dobam Village under Karsingsa Panchayat on the occasion of mass tree plantation and 68th Van mahotsava month celebration at Banderdeva .

 Rebia said that all fruit bearing trees bow down while all parts of the trees and plnats are being used and are being used for our end right from food, clothes, shelter and others. We are a part of nature and we need to love nature for our existences, so it should be our endeavours to preserve and plant more trees in our locality.

We need to learn from tree to give something what we have and it should be reciprocate so that we may live on this earth otherwise a time will come due to increase in global warming we may not exist on this earth.

Refereeing to the demand of the School Managing Committee of Dobam Middle School Rebia assured to provide fans and electrical appliance and ensure to have electricity connection after two electricity poles constructed in the soon.

He further appeal one and all to protect and preserve the environment for our wellbeing in the nature.

Additional PCCF, R.K.Singh emphasise on more tree plantation by involving all section of the society in villages, schools, and general places for purpose of shade, decoration and clean environment.

He appeal the students and local people to avoid ‘gittis’ and not to kill birds and wild animals for pretext of meat as it will attract legal action and do not cut unnecessary plantation in the name of urbanisation it will lead decrease in natural habitat.

DFO (Territory) Banderdewa Neelam Nido assured to provide sufficient plant sapling to PRI members, students who will plant participate in nature friendly environment programmes.

ZPM Banderdewa Kipa Aruni, Asstiant Conservator of Forest Banderdewa  School Managing Chairman Neelam Tang, GB Tache Lombi among others address the gathering.

ASM Karsingsa Kipa Taniang, Banderdewa IMC Councillor Tai Tasung, PRI members, GB, officers and officials of Environment & Forest Department of Banderdewa and local people and students were present during the function.

More than two hundreds plants were planted while more than five hundred plants were distributed during the programme which started from Dobam Middle School and in the area.
