Assam: Railway employees stages street play to observes Vigilance Awareness Week

Street play by Railway employees was organised on 2nd November’2018 at NF Railway HQ.

Nukkad Nataks (street play) by Railway employees was organised on 2nd November’2018 at NF Railway HQ and at NF Railway construction organization for creating awareness amongst the staff and public against the menace of corruption.

The Vigilance Awareness Week, 2018 is being observed throughout Northeast Frontier Railway from 29th October to 3rd November, 2018. The theme for this year is “Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India”.

As part of the awareness week, various programmes were organised which includes taking of integrity pledge, organising interactive sessions with HQ & field officials. Essay writing, drawing and debate competitions in schools & colleges were also organised. Various activities in Railway Zonal Training Centers were organised. Banners, posters etc were displayed for creating public awareness & Nukkad Nataks etc were also played.

At N.F. Railway HQ, Maligaon, the pledge was administered on 29th October by Sanjive Roy, General Manager, N.F. Railway to officers and staff.

Similarly pledge was administered at various offices of the Divisions and Construction units. Posters and banners were displayed at important locations throughout the jurisdiction of Northeast Frontier Railway.

A “Sangosthi” was held on 29th October in presence of General Manager, N.F. Railway and General Manager (Construction) N.F. Railway along with all departmental heads.

An interactive session with senior officers of all departments was held where the role, responsibilities, purpose, importance of preventive checks and case studies were discussed and measures for system improvements to check the irregularities were identified and discussed for their implementation.

Essay writing and Art competitions were organised on 31st October at Railway Higher Secondary School, Maligaon as part of awareness programs among the school students.

Inter College Debate competition was organised on 1st November at Pandu College, Guwahati for creating awareness against corruption amongst the students and youths.

Prizes and merit certificates were awarded to the best three competitors in debate, essay writing and drawing competition by N.F. Railway Vigilance Organisation.
