Assam- Army Apprehended 3 Jihadi from Chirang


During  a  Counter Insurgency  Operation  Indian Army apprehended Three Jihadi from Chirang district of lower Assam. Apprehended three Jihadis are the cadres of Muslim Tiger Force of Assam (MTFA).

Based on a specific intelligence regarding movement of some suspected cadres of Muslim Tiger Force of Assam (MTFA) in a white vehicle moving from Salbari towards Manikpur, a joint Mobile Check Post was set up by Army and Chirang Police in the wee hours. At around 12.30 am on Thursday the suspected vehicle was stopped and three suspected cadres of MTFA were apprehended.  They have been identified as Sayfer Ali, Saddam Hussain  Tulakdar, & Jannatul Anam Ahmed. Three 7.65mm pistols, two magazines, seven live rounds, one crude bomb and some incrementing documents were recovered from the apprehended cadres.

It may be recalled that from a long time there have been reports of influx of Jehadi terrorist in the region and the Army has been keeping a special vigil on this to stem the problem in its root.
