Arunachalee mother Muri Linggi scale Mt Everest

Mrs. Muri Linggi, mother of four daughters, has become the second woman from Arunachal to scale the Mt Everest- Congratulations to Muri from team Arunachal24.

Muri Linggi of Roing, Lower Dibang Valley has become the second woman from the district to summit Mount Everest. She summitted Mount Everest on 14th May 2018 at 8.00 am. Her expedition was flagged off from the district on 5th March 2018 at Roing.

Muri started from Roing to Kathmandu on  7th April 2018 and started her expedition to Mount Everest on 12th April from Lukla. She reached the base camp on 20th April 2018. After attempts to move forward with the expedition was foiled due to inclement weather.

She started climbing to Mount Everest  again on 10th May 2018 at 1.00 am in the morning. After 4 days of trekking during daytime and nighttime, she summitted Mount Everest on 14th April 2018 at 8.00 am in the morning.

Muri Linggi did her basic course in mountaineering from National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports ( NIMAS), Dirang in 2013 and was a part of the women expedition team to climb Peak Menthosa in Lahaul and Spiti, Himachal Pradesh. Muri completed her advance mountaineering course from Darjeeling in 2016 and climbed the Gorichen Peak in October 2017. Now she has realised her dream of summitting Mount Everest.
