Arunachal Youth Anang Tadar receive Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award

Arunachal youth Anang Tadar received great recognition for inventing a gadget called Goggle For Blind (G4B) in a bid to make life of visually impaired people has been conferred with the ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award 2017’ on November 22, 2017 presented to him by former President Pranab Mukerjee at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

IGNITE Award is an a prestigious national award given to honour the children for their creativity and innovative ideas. The IGNITE Award was formerly given away by Dr. APJ ABDUL KALAM to the awardees before his demise.

To honour his enormous contribution in various fields of science technology and for taking India to greater heights. This award was renamed Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award after his passed away Pranab Mukerjee give away the prize the innovators and creative children of the country.

This year from Arunachal Pradesh Tadar Anang won the award for his innovative idea of smart glasses for the blind people.  His idea is to help the visually impaired people to navigate around with ease. The device helps the blind to navigate around their environment by detecting the obstacles in front of the wearer. The blind people get to know the obstacles in from of them. Not only that they also get to know the direction and the distance the objects.

Using the principle of echolocation used by the bats Anang design his device. An innovative idea inspired from the nature to help the society and the visually impaired people.
