Arunachal: Yab Sera, GB of Rono village passes away

He was among one of the first batch of Teachers from Nyishi community from Doimukh area of undivided Subansiri District.

Goan Bura (GB) and Senior citizen Yab Sera of Rono village passed away this morning at GNRC after prolong illness.

Late Yab Sera s/o Late Yab Tahi of Rono village, Doimukh born in the year 1950 expired today at GNRC, Guwahati after prolonged illness.

He was among one of the first batch of Teachers from Nyishi community from Doimukh area of undivided Subansiri District. He was appointed as Assistant Teacher by the erstwhile Directorate of Education, North East Frontier Agency (NEFA), Shillong in the year 1969 and posted under Additional Deputy Commissioner, Daporijo.

Late Yab Sera rendered his services in different parts of Arunachal Pradesh during his entire 43 years of service in the department. Acknowledging his contributions towards his dedicated services the Govt, of Arunachal Pradesh awarded him Best Teacher Award in the year 1988. After his retirement in the year 2011 he was appointed as Gaon Bura (GB) for Rono Village, Doimukh in the year 2015.

He was survived by wife, four sons, two daughters and 15 grand sons and daughters.

Camdir welfare society (CWS) while condoling the death of Late Sera said that he was not only a GB but a social worker and was associated in various social welfare activities of the Doimukh circle and other parts of the district in several issue of community and society.

The last rite will be performed on Wednesday at his Rono resident where large numbers of family members, relatives, well-wishers and friend are expected to attend.
