Arunachal: World Environment Day celebrates all over state

As India being the Global Host for the World Environment Day,  plantation drive was carried out through out nation. The West Kameng dist of Arunachal Pradesh also  joined the drive with rest of the state, in joint venture by PHED & Forrest Dept. Huge plantation was carried out at Bangle-jaap catchment area of water supply of Bomdila township. HoD’s, Dept Staff, NGO Progressive Heritage Preservation Council & locals have actively participated. PHPC members have planted tree under the banner of “ADOPT A TREE, GIFT HEALTHY FUTURE TO NEXT GENERATION”

Aalo

As a part of promoting cleanliness drive and plastic free society, a massive clean up drive themed “Himalayan Clean Up Drive” organised by Aalo PHE Division which  participated by Women wing and medical fraternity was undertaken at General Hospital on Tuesday. Outlining the importance of the day, Er. Kirba Sora, EE PHED and Dr. Nyage Geyi DMO laid emphasis on the need to minimise the use of plastic in our daily life to keep environment clean.All stakeholders who took part in the drive cleaned the surroundings of the General Hospital Aalo

Anini

As India being the Global Host for the World Environment Day (WED) International event with the theme “Beat the Plastic Pollution”, The PHE & WS, Anini Division with the support from the entire line department, I-Clean group Anini, students and local public in the district observe the day by organising cleanliness drive against plastic waste and planting trees in their respective premises/place with the theme “Each one plant two”.
