Minister PHE&WS , Wangki Lowang urged department officials to focus and work hard, and also gave his consent to present the issues regarding budgets in the cabinet meeting.
Resuming the office for the second term as Minister for Public Health Engineering and Water Supply, Wangki Lowang today conducted a departmental review meeting taking stock of various programmes, schemes and other official matters taken up by the department here at Civil Secretariat, Itanagar.
The Departmental official team lead by Commissioner, PHE&WS, Maryna Ete, , accompanied by Chief Engineer (E/Z) Tomo Basar, Chief Engineer-cum-Mission Director, SBM (G), Sentum Yomcha along with other officers congratulated and welcomed the newly appointed Minister in a small formal ceremony at Minister’s Official chamber.
The Minister had a productive discussion over issues and Annual Implementation Plans presented by the Chief Engineers. After accessing the affairs Minister Wangki Lowang urged department officials to focus and work hard, and also gave his consent to present the issues regarding budgets in the cabinet meeting.
CE (E/Z) highlighted various works taken by the department in water sector and upcoming schemes, followed Mission Director, SBM (G) who informed about the status of various works under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) in rural Arunachal.
Likewise, he also highlighted about the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) of SBM (G) designed for the financial year 2019-20, especially concerning the ODF-Plus activities, which focus on sustainability measures for maintaining ODF status and Solid Liquid Waste Management.
Commissioner, PHE&WS also spoke in the occasion and gave input on discussed issues and provided valuable feedback on state’s present scenario.
The meeting was also attended by SE-cum-State Coordinator, SBM (G), Joi Angu, EEs, AEs and State Consultants.
