Arunachal: Wage inspects Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola road


Pakke-Kessang MLA Biyuram Wage inspected the Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola 62 KM road and requested the officials and contractors to carry out the road construction work on war footing in the greater interest of the people of the area.

Wage while inspecting the  ongoing construction of NEC road in Seijosa Circle along with the officials and PRI members. The NEC road Improvement. up gradation of Pakke-Seijosa-Itakhola 62 KM road in Pakke Kesang assembly constituency which would will connect Itakhola in Assam at one end while Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) Sagalee-Seppa-Neichepu-NH-13 road on other end. The work which was allotted to PRL-Gepung (JV) in April 2017 through national bidding but due to litigation the actual work started in the month of October 17.

Wage alongwith PWD Pakke Kessang Divison, EE Nabam Takar,  AE K.Ngomdir, ZPM Pani Tayem, contractor visited the ongoing work from Check Gate to Golosoo 8 KM point and find the at the work is in progress. He discussed about the gradation and road alignment with the contractor and requested the PRI members to check the work progress and resolve any hindrance if arrive during the road construction with the help of officials and administration.

Wage however directed the executing firm not to compromise any lacuna and quality during the work construction. He also directed not to stop the work in any case and carry forward in stipulated period so that the connectivity problem between Seijosa and Pakkekessang is made smoothly and fulfilled his commitment to the people of his assembly constituency during the election rally in the area.

Executive Engineer, PWD, Seijosa Division Nabam Takar informed that the improvement/up gradation work of the said road which was approved by North East Council (NEC)  in 2013-14 with an estimate cost of 166.16 Cr and sanctioned in 2015-16 and due to litigation it was delayed, the tender process was completed in the April last year and again due to another litigation the work construction was halted for few months. However the work finally began in October 17 and is in full progress. The work have been started from Check Post of Seijosa upto 8 KM point while the work from Palap(Suehung) in Pakke Kessang side. The jungle clearance have been competed upto 20 KM and hope that that the work would go smoothly without any hindrance and appeal the local public to cooperate in the field of development.
