Victim’s family members alongwith hundreds of supporters took out a rally demanding resignation of home minister Kumar Waii.

Demanding the resignation of Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Kumar Waii on moral grounds for the prevailing lawlessness and rising and unresolved crimes in the state the victim’s family members of late Ngurang Pinch, Ojing Taying, Toko Yame, and Arun Modi has organised a mass protest rally and also submitted memorandum to the chief Minister today.
Hundreds of protesters from various students and youths organisations holding banners and shouting slogans took out a protest rally . The protest rally started from Akhashdeep market and culminated at IG park. More than 30 organisation took part in this rally.
The victim’s family members claimed that the state is witnessing rising violence , crime , unaccountable deaths , murders and crime against women. . With everyday reports of growing incidents of deaths, peoples worried about the state’s law and order situation .
They also claimed that in the past three years itself, the state has seen 161 Murders, 26 in Itanagar itself. While these are only the reported ones, wondering how many bodies are unaccounted.

In lieu of the above context, four cases of explicit murders were registered last year, namely of late Ngurang Pinch, Ojing Taying, Toko Yame and Arun Modi. Of which, three of these cases were deemed by the state Govt. as the most sensitive and hence sent for a CBI investigation.
But even after a year, the families are still looking for answers- of death and of the perpetrators and are still waiting that there would be any breakthrough but nothing comes out.
The family members also serve 30 days time-bound to State Government for investigation these four grave cases. There be any discrepancy, the team Arunachal Resists, headed by the four families and the several organisations will resort to indefinite democratic movements in capital complex, they claimed..
Koya Yame the father late Toko Yame, and Jiten Taying father late Ojing Taying, said that they has totally lost believe on the State home department and State government. Till date state police has clue less on the both the murder case. They have no strength to fight more, but seeing this unit is bring my strength back and hope this kinds of unity can help give justice to the all the victim family, said Jiten Taying.
Informing about the signature campaign, daughter of late Pinch, Ngurang Reena said that ‘the 15, 000 signature were gathered through campaign and same was send to Home Minister and CBI director telling them that civil society is supporting us and that they should take up my father case at earliest but, I have yet received feedback from their end till now’, Reena added, “I even send two letters for an appointment to meet MoS Kiren Rijiju, that too no luck.”
“There has been no sort of correspondence by both the state & central government, the victim family is doing all the work that they were supposed to do, it has been our initiative from the start” clued Reena. instead, CBI turned us down saying that my father murder wasn’t a ‘Priority Case’, which is very disheartening, she adds.
At the end all the decision comes back to GoAP to make a concrete move to make the cases relevant in the eye of the CBI, Reena further adds.
