The East Kameng Middle Zone Students’ Union (EKMZSU) on Thursday demanded that a ban should be imposed on the popular mobile app game, Dice, in Seppa Township in Arunachal, a virtual gambling app where people place bets to play the game.

The Union has appealed the Deputy Commissioner of East Kameng to look into the matter and immediately ban the game as it has already caused severe losses to the people of the district.

EKMZSU President Yong Rebe informed that the dice game has led to many unreported disputes and enmity among people.

“It brings forth domestic violence in once-a-peaceful family, as it involves placing bets; huge loss in the game is the main reason behind disturbances in families these days. The matter of concern is also that, often, group games are conducted illegally in public places, such as, market places, colonies, parking places making the environment look bad,” he added.
