Arunachal: Unidentified body recovered from Dikrong river

 Papum pare police appeal people to help in identification

Papum Pare police here today recovered an unidentified male dead body from Dikrong river and appeal to the people  to help for identification.

One unidentified male,  appeared to be local age about 25-30 yrs, height about 5’3″, wearing apparel: T-Shirt- Black color’, Trouser – green color with black strips, wrist band on left hand with letters ” T A I S N ” was found lying dead in the left of river bank of Dikrong river near Dikrong RCC bridge this morning. Said Papum Pare SP Jimmy Chiram.

Cheram inform that no prominent external injuries seen. Pool of blood seen oozed out from upper head portion and nose.

No apparent cause of death is seen but suspected to be drowned. Place of Occurrence (PO) was visited with Executive Magistrate and HGB Nabam Epo, photographs taken, inquest conducted and body is kept at RKM Hospital morgue for further identification. SP added.

The body would be kept for next 72 hours for identification and appeal the people and also those who might be looking for some missing person may kindly contact and help the Doimukh police in identifying the body, after which the remaining legal formalities would be completed. SP further said.
