Tawang
The second day of 6th Tawang festival began today with street carnival showcasing the famous Arpu chham (war Dance) by various villages, followed by Aji Lhamu, ngag chham,(The tantric dance) Phan chham (the flag dance)and Yapchen apa yumchhen Ama dance. Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, alongwith DC Tawang Sang Phuntso IAS, other senior officers, hundreds of tourists and general public in thousands witnessed this.
After the street carnival in old market area which started from Masang Dung rhuemay, there was traditional games and sports organized at Men-Tsem-tse festival ground which included the Theipay and lei competition for women, pungor or shotput, lemgor discuss throw and thekpa tengree ie Tug of war and arrow shooting for tourists.

Amidst the traditional games MLA Tawang alongwith DC Tawang Sang Phuntso,IAS Chief Engineer PWD Er AK Atreya and other officers flagged in the MTB Tawang challenge which was flagged off on 22nd oct 2018 from Itanagar.
Organised by the youth affairs department and lead by Joint Director youth affairs Ramesh Lingi the team reached festival ground Tawang festival at around 12.45 pm, the team halted at six stages at Sagalee, Seppa ,Naagmandir, Dirang, Jang and finally reached Tawang on 27th of October.
