Arunachal: Tamiyo Taga lays foundation stone of Yogong to Rumgong road

Rumgong ( Siang District ) 

Minister (Power ,Textile & Industry) Tamiyo Taga laid the foundation stone of Yogong to Rumgong road on Tuesday  in presence of Commissioner (Industry,Textile & Handicraft) Tahang Taggu,ZPM (Rumgong) Tanam Taggu, Panchayati leaders & public . This road will connect ‘Yogong’ village with Rumgong once the construction work is completed.

Road is the long felt demand of the people of this village. ‘Yogong’ Village has been bestowed with enough natural resources to ensure better living for its residents but there is no road to take them forward.

For decades, this village remained isolated from rest of the world & there is still no road communication due to the negligence & lackadaisical attitude shown by the successive elected representative of 32-Rumgong -Kaying constituency. Presently ,Villagers have to walks around 5 hours by foot to reach Rumgong where the last motorable road end.

When there is serious medical case in the village, situation become more critical & patient have to Carry on the back for treatment. Thereby, putting patient’s life at higher risk due to morbidity and mortality during transport.

 Many precious life had already been lost in the past for want of prompt medical attention. Latest initiative taken by Minister Tamiyo Taga to connect Yogong village with the rest of the world brought ray of hope & smile on cheeks of the people of Yogong village & the people who are connected with it.

 On being questioned, one of the native of Yogong village, Tanom Tasing said ‘Today is the historical day for all the people of ‘Yogong’ Village including those person who had migrated from this village to other place for better avenues. He opined that Laying of foundation stone marks the beginning and hoping that Honourable Minister Tamiyo Taga will take personal interest to ensure completion of the project & bring it to a logical conclusion.
