Arunachal Students on Delhi’s street against SC decision

Hundreds of students from Arunachal Pradesh on Friday staged a protest in Delhi  against the Supreme Court’s decision of granting citizenship to Chakma and Hajong refugees from Bangladesh living in Arunachal Pradesh.
The protest, which was organized jointly by All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) and Arunachal Pradesh Students Union in Delhi (ASUD), saw students shouting slogans and holding placards with quotations such as “Are we dumping ground for foreigners”, “If Arunachal is part of India, listen to the voice of Arunachalees” , among several others.
Talking to media AAPSU president Kamta Lapung stated that “We have been raising our voice continuously, but there has been no response. How can SC pass order against the people of a state? We are not going to stop until our goal is accomplished.
Following the protest, a delegation of the protesters also submitted their memorandum to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
