Aalo-  Wine shops 500 away from NH 

In a Coordination Meeting held under the Chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner  Gamli Padu, roles and responsibilities enthused to various Branch Officers were reviewed at DC’s Chamber today. The discussion centred around shifting of Wine Shops should 500 meters away from the National and State Highway as per Supreme Court directives, hearings on land encroachment within Aalo Township, issue of ST Certificate and proper identification by GBs and PRIs, Ration and LPG Supply, Cash less transaction on Labour payment, Eviction drive on RoW along the highway road, Overloading of goods in passenger bus and other wide range of issues. The DC stressed on streamlining all important issues and responsibilities given to all branch officers.

Bomdila- DRDA Staff on Mass Casual Leave 

The All India DRDA Staffs Welfare Association, West Kameng District, Bomdila in collaboration with the State Unit has proceeded on mass casual leave from 27th February to 03rd March 2017. The mass casual leave is in protest against the Govt. alleged failure to respond to the pen down and Tool down strike that was organized from 20th to 25th February 2017, according to the president of All India DRDA Staffs Association, West Kameng District unit.

Seppa- Works Affected due to Strike 

In response against the non-fulfilment of two-point demands – immediate absorption of DRDA staffs into line department and regular payment of salary through Treasury system, the DRDA employees of East Kameng district along with the rest of district units of All India DRDA Staffs Welfare Association of Arunachal Pradesh have proceeded on mass casual leave from 28th February to 3rd March next. Employees will launch their next phase of pen and tool down strike for an indefinite period after the end of the mass casual leave, if their demands were not met. Due to ongoing series of protests various works under CSS and State govt. schemes such as MGNREGA, IAY, IWMP, MLALAD, BADP, MPLAD and others have been affected irreparably. It is also worried that many important works being implemented under the DRDA may not be completed on scheduled time period.

Yingkiong- Footpath not repair since 3 years 

The footpath which is connect from PWD Road (now Highway) to Motum Colony at about 1.114 to 1.124 km Yingkiong – Mariyang road was damaged by the PWD staff during the earth cutting for Highway construction since 3 (three) years. There residents living in the colony are on risk of accident at any time.  Despite several request and representation submitted to the PWD Highway authority and M/S Nabam Tullon construction agency for early construction of entry point, the Highway authority and M/S Nabam Tullon construction agency turning deaf ear. The residents conduct Social service and construct Bamboo ladder.
