DIYUN- Massive Eviction 

Diyun administration lead by S. Tayang EAC, Diyun  on Monday carry out massive eviction drive at Diyun forest reserve areas with the help of State police and CRPF. More than 80 families of Chakma n Hajong illegally encroached the reserve forest areas near Diyun township. Though they had been given many notices to vacate the area but they are reluctant to do so. Especially in Changlang dist large areas of govt land are occupied or encroached by these refugees creating many administrative problems.Thus,these refugees are the menace to the district and state as a whole.

ITANAGAR- Governor Congratulated Aizawl FC 

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, P.B. Acharya, has congratulated Aizawl FC for winning the 10th I – League title and creating history by becoming the first team from North East India to win the title. In his letter to Mr. Robert R Royte, President and Owner, Aizawl Football Club, the Governor said that it is a proud moment in the history of sports for North East and Mizoram in particular. The hard work and team effort of the club has paid off and will be an example for everyone. This victory will encourage the youth of the nation that one can pull off success with team work. I also congratulate the players of Aizawl FC, the team management and the Mizoram Football Association for bringing laurels to North East India. I am also very happy to learn about the actions of the Aizawl FC fans after the club clinched the trophy. As an Ambassador of Swachhat Bharat, I congratulate the Aizawl FC fans for taking the initiative of cleaning up the litter at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong. You have won the hearts of millions and made us proud. I hope this trend will continue and be an example for everyone, the Governor said.

PALIN- Dari Sakap Passes away 

All the staffs of the DC Office, Kra Daadi District, Family, Friends and well wishers deeply mourn the sudden demise of Dari Sakap,(HA) under the establishment of Deputy Commissioner, Kra Daadi District on 06/05/2017 GNRC, Guwahati. He was born on 01/07/1967 and he started his service life on Adhoc basis as an UDC at CD Block Chambang in 1994 before moving to GA. He is survived by Wife and 4(four) children. The Staffs of DC office Kra Daadi observed 2(two) minutes of condolence in memory of the departed soul. Dari served the church and the ecumenical movement in various capacities for many years. As an ordained minister of the Church of Christ in Kurung Kumey & Kra Daadi state as a whole, Dari was president of the Christian Revival Church Council, Kurung Kumey District. He was a active in the social & Church movement. He who committed most of his life for Christian & social mission. Dari’s contributions and expertise in the field of Christian dialogue have been widely acknowledged. He will be remembered as one of the great social leaders from district as a whole.

BOMDILA- Programme to Promote free legal aid Awareness

A day long Legal Literacy Programme to promote free legal aid awareness among the masses, free and competent legal services to weaker sections of the society, to ascertain all legal possibilities to obtain justice in view of violation of one’s freedom and ensure respectful living conditions and to create a vigilant, sensitive and enhanced society was conducted the day before at Bomdila. Resource person,  Dr. Yeshi Gyesen,  Assistant Professor of Government College Bomdila informed on the Right to Education Act 2009 and Right to Information Act 2005. Legal Aid Counsel DLSA Adv. K Dewan highlighted on the issues such as Free Legal Aid, Women’s Right, Code of Criminal Procedure, Food Security Act 2013 and the Fundamental Rights of Indian Citizens. Coordinated by the CSC Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) KT Yangfan, the Legal Literacy Programme was organized by CSC-e Governance Services India Limited under the aegis of Ministry of Law& Justice, GOI. The programme was attended by the general public of Bomdila Township and the Self Help Groups of Pedung and Sera villages.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 9th May 2017KHONSA – DC facilitates Khonsa Badminton Club

Tirap Deputy Commissioner Ravi Jha,  felicitates Khonsa Badminton Club on winning of 1st Ever Tirap – Changlang Badminton tournament held at Miao Indoor Stadium. The Khonsa Badminton club led by Dr. K. Socia has approached Tirap Deputy Commissioner to introduce a TCL Badminton Tournament in the month of June,2017 so as to encourage the sports lover of Tirap-Changlang and Longding. Tirap DC Ravi Jha, IAS approved the proposed TCL Badminton Tournament to be conducted in the next month at Khonsa Badminton Club near PWD Circuit House adding that District Administration will extend full support for such innovative and positive move for well being of the district in sports activities which may bring sportsmanship spirit in the minds of TCL youths by utilizing their positive energy instead of indulging in unlawful and anti element activities addicts with kaani and drugs etc. All the players of KBC {Khonsa Badminton Club} appreciated DC, Khonsa for felicitating them at his office chamber and for approval the ensuing TCL Badminton tournament.

ROING- District Level under 16 Football Tournament

Lower Dibang Valley District, Deputy Commissioner,  Deepak Shinde (IAS) today kick off District Level under 16 football tournament at Parbuk general ground. The organizing committee of the under 16 – Tertem-Benbo Running football tournament expressed gratitude to the DC for his support in this endeavors. The first match was played between Rayang team Vs Cheta team in which Cheta team won the match by 5-0. Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, DC terms the sports as good activity for good health and exhorted the participants to inculcate discipline and learn sportsmanship in such platform. He also informed that most of the district level tournaments are played at H.Q and said that it is good start that in administrative circle like Parbuk , district level tournament has been organized and teams from various blocks under Roing circle are participating in the event . He also urged to uphold the spirit of brotherhood and unity among various tribe of the district. Abu Saring, Secretary ABK (District unit) in his speech highlighted the purpose of the tournament and informed that the tournament has been arranged to streamline the energies of youth and keep them engaging in the sports activities.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 9th May 2017ITANAGAR- Storm effected People Crying for Relief 

Sudden rain with hailstorm hit Taraso circle under Papum Pare district on May 5 last, reportedly demolishing several houses and  standing crop .The  Tarasso Circle Youth Association has appealed the State govt and district administration to visit the Taraso circle and provide relief to the victims immediately. The Association claimed that more than three days have been passed but there is no any official visiting the affected area nor loss assessment done, and appealed the State govt and district administration to visit the area for  spot verification to assess actual damages and release immediate relief for the victims.The sudden disaster that happened on 5th May morning especially in Tassumso, Lower Tarasso and many other places in the circle, many houses including that of one Tacha Rukh was damaged very badly. The affected families were facing lots of problems especially in this rainy season, it added.

YINGKIONG- Mini Hudel Station Damage

Landslides triggered by heavy rainfall caused extensive damage to Siri MHS (2 X 250 KW) at Gosang causing disruption in electricity supply to Ramsing and Gosang villages. About 50 metres of power channel were reportedly damaged completely in the landslide, which occurred on May 5 last. Restoration works could not be taken up due to continuous downpour, said an official report

ITANAGAR- RGU Exam resheduled

 The examinations of BA IV semesters in Skill Based papers of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) have been rescheduled from May 27 next due to unavoidable technical reasons. Earlier, the examinations were scheduled to begin from May 9. However, BSc IV semesters Skill Based papers will continue as notified earlier.
