ITANAGAR- State Task Force for Immunization 

A meeting of the state task force for immunization was held at Itanagar on 4th May in which Health Commissioner Kaling Tayeng, members and officers from HFW attended. While welcoming the members, the Commissioner said that the Prime Minister was taking a keen interest in the immunization and other healthcare programmes in the country adding that the PM had asked the Chief Secretaries to ensure full coverage of immunization in their repective states. Tayeng urged all the stakeholders to travel the proverbial extra mile to reach out to children in all the nooks and corners of the state in spite of the shortage of manpower in the department. While assuring to strengthen the manpower as per feasibility, the Commissioner asked the DMOs to engage the staff from different wings of the department to ensure effective and timely completion of immunization. He however, expressed his  concern over the inordinate delay in implementation of some schemes and asked the concerned officers to pull up their socks. In his power-point presentation on MI-4 round-3 SIO Dr. Padung told the participants that all the districts had conducted DTFI adding that barring Longding district, all the districts had submitted Micro Plan.

ITANAGAR –  Arunachal gets  DDG  department of Telecom 

The department of telecommunication, govt. of India has finally posted a high ranking telecom officer of the rank of Deputy Director General (DDG) for Arunachal. This was possible due to the constant effort from Chief Minister Pema Khandu to have a dedicated high ranking officer from the DoT to fast track the telecom services in the state. CM has roll out a robust telecommunication mechanism to realise the PM’s vision of Digital India campaign in Arunachal and the DDG’s stationing at Itanagar is a positive move in this direction.The DDG will be stationed at Itanagar and will look after the telecom issues and also will coordinate with different agencies including private operators. He is likely to join by June next and will be beneficial for the state.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 5th May 2017CHANGLANG- Archery Coaching Inaugurated 

Changlang Deputy Commissioner  Wayong Khimhun inaugurated Archery Coaching Programme organised for the youth of Changlang by the Arunachal Vikas Parisad, Changlang unit here at Govt Higher Secondary school premises, on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion Khimhun appreciated the initiative taken for the youth and advised the participants to put best efforts in learning archery skills with an aim to represent state at the National levels and bring laurels to the state. Stating that Govt of Arunachal has been earmarking sports quota in govt job for distinguished sports persons of the state he asked them to try hard to excel and avail the opportunity. Earlier Secretary, Arunachal Vikas Parisad, Changlang Unit Kamjai Taisim in his key note address informed that the objectives of organising Free Archery Coaching Programme was for up liftment and promote the sports of archery in the district with an aim to help the youth to attain their peak of excellence and win medals at various levels. He acknowledged the District Administration for sponsoring for purchasing bows and arrows for the trainees. In total 12 youth of Changlang District Headquarters are undergoing Archery training under  Topha Wangsu and  Tingkhap Lukham both from longding district who represented the state at national level competitions.

ZIRO- Central Team visits Ziro

A central team comprising of Mrs. Aparajita Sarangi, Joint Secretary, MGNREGA, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, Nyali Ete, Special Secretary, Rural Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and 12 other senior officials visited Lower Subansiri district to inspect MGNREGA Works in the district on Thursday. They visited various work sites in Ziro 2, Hong Hari and Ziro1 CD blocks.They were quite satisfied with the works and asked the BDOs to prioritise need based works and to monitor and execute works properly. In Hong Hari block, the Joint Secretary Mrs. Aparajita Sarangi observed and suggested for constructing drains from the disposal point.The team also discussed about the convergence of MGNREGA with other works .In Hong Hari block they also inspected vermi compost pits, minor irrigation channel, CC drain and farm pond works under MGNREGA. The Joint secretary Mrs. Sarangi emphasised the need for orientation training on MGNREGA for masses of Arunachal Pradesh .She further added that job card verification”Mohim” has to be started nationwide for benefits to reach the targeted population. Later they interacted with the PRI members and the beneficiaries of MGNREGA.

changlang-archery-campPASIGHAT- Inter-ministerial team Visit Siang

Inter-ministerial team headed by V. Shashank Shekhar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home affairs, GoI, along with Secretary Disaster Management J Angu, Director Disaster Management YW Ringu and CE (WRD) Er. L Angu, GoAP, visited East Siang on Wednesday to assess the loss and damages, caused by devastating flood in 2016. East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak briefed the visiting team about enormous loss of government and public properties etc and rescue and relief operation, remedial measures taken during and post flood period under taken by the District Administration. HoDs presented damage reports through power point presentation.

ZIRO-  Mission Indradhanush-4

The 4th District Task Force Immunization meeting on Mission Indradhanush-4 was held in the office chamber of DC Lower Subansiri today under the Chairmanship of shri Nending Chatung, i/c DC. The microplan for 4th round and the performance of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd round were dealt in lenght by Dr. Derin Likar, DRCHO. The immunization achivement in the 3rd round was 108% for children and 25% for pregnant women. Reviewing the performances of the previous rounds of immunization DC i/ c Shri Nending Chatung suggested for tracking out dropout pregnant women as the achivement in the 3rd round was very poor. He also suggested for preparing the beneficiary due list by name for better outreach and identification. DMO Dr. Tage Kanno asked the immunization teams to submit reports on daily basis to the headquaters for better compilation. The meeting was attended by Dr.R Anku, DANO, Mr. N.Duri,BEO, Mr. N Nado, DPM, K.Lailang, HI and Ms. C Angela, HA,ICDS.
