Banderdeva- IMC Councillor visits bank of river Dikrong

Itanagar Municipal councillor Tai Tasung today visited the land affected area at bank of Dikrong river in hia ward.  He informed by the nearby people that ” in rainy season the river washes away the land of the public and damaged dwelling house and agriculture field. locals trying to protect their land by their own method but goes in vain and it does not remain as a permanent solution” . He appealed the state government to construct protection wall on the bank of river Dikrong in Banderdewa for safety and security of locals and in the greater interest of the public.

Itanagar- AAPWU demanded medical relief to injured worker

All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union (AAPWU) today demanded immediate relief to workers namely Techi Papu (electrician) who have been seriously injured due to electric shock while on duty at Balijan under capital electrical division. According to Doctor,  the back bone of Techi Papu has been fractured due to fallen from the high post.  AAPWU appeal the power department to provide immediate relief so that the poor electrician can afford his medical treatment.

Banderdeva- SIPL installed smoke filter

To control the air pollution a smoke filter has been installed at Satayam Ispat Private limited ( steel factory ) here at Banderdewa. General Manager, Hari Babu informed that the first unit of smoke filter has been installed at the steel factory to prevent the pollution caused by the factory. He further informed that second unit shall also be installed in next week. He also inform that other measures are also been obtained to prevent pollution and wastage of materials and are being taken into consideration and accountability.

Nari- Culvert collapsed

A newly constructed culvert at Pam village under Nari sub-division in Lower Siang district has collapsed causing much distress and anger among the local residents and the student bodies of the region. The culvert  connecting Seren circle with Nari at Pam village, was constructed only 6-7 months ago. Now the local people are demanding stringent action against the concerned authorities and all those responsible for the low quality work.

Daporijo – Library and Almirahs to Schools

The Deputy Commissioner, Danish Ashraf after finding out that many schools in Upper Subansiri district are without libraries has recently provided books and other study materials from the district administration united fund to government higher secondary school, Daporijo. In addition, the DC also provided almirahs & book shelves to many schools.The DC informed that he is taking keen interest for establishment of the school for the benefit of students and people of the district.

Itanagar- ABWF conducted a donation camp

The All Bengali Welfare Federation (ABWF) conducted a donation camp recently for fire affected people of Niti Vihar fire accident. The donation camp was conducted with the theme, ‘help the needy one’, which was supported by Ward No. 8 Councilor Donik Tayu and district administration, a release informed. A fire broke out on 21 December last at Niti Vihar here, where more than 12 dwelling houses were gutted.

Naharlagun- Si-Donyi Festival concludes 

Capital Complex Si-Donyi Festival Celebration Committee (SDFCC)-2018 organised various games and sport events in Capital complex since December 16 last as part of the festival, the biggest of the community. SDFCC vice chairman Taniya Soki said that almost all sporting competitions played in various parts of Capital Complex including cricket and badminton are almost complete. The events including cricket, chess, carom, badminton & volleyball etc were inaugurated by sports director Tadar Appa.
