Likabali-  BJP office vandalised 

An angry mob reportedly vandalised the BJP mandal office in Likabali at around 9 pm on Wednesday. The mob was allegedly upset with the recommendation of Gensi ZPM, Kardo Nyicyor as the BJP candidate to the 28th Likabali polls. the protestors  warned that if Nyicyor is given the party ticket, people of Likabali would boycott all events and leaders of the BJP at Likabali. Nyicyor has joined the BJP only last month from the Congress party. The Lower Siang SP also confirmed that the BJP mandal office was indeed vandalised, but nobody was found at the site of incident when the police arrived.

Tawang- Power crisis due to problem in distribution system 

The  resident of Tawang  town  and nearby villages  has been battling power crisis for the last many months, and department is not taking any step to address the situation. Problems is in the distribution system led to artificial power crisis in Tawang, it was revealed during a meeting convened by Deputy Commissioner Sang Phuntsok with the departmental engineers recently.The Deputy Commissioner, who visited the power station to enquire about the problem, asked the Superintending Engineer (Elect), Dirang to take corrective measures to meet the power crisis immediately.

Daporijo- Arunachalee student allegedly beaten up in Shimla 

In an  another shocking incident a Arunachlee student  Govind Niji ( Munna) from Daporijo, and  is studying at AP Goel Shimla University in fifth semester in Architectures was mercilessly beaten by a group of local students. Govind brought to the PGI Medical Education & Research at Chandigarh, Punjab by his Arunachalee student friends was in is in unconscious condition. He is now in ICU at Chandigarh Hospital. The victim parents already left for Chandigarh today morning. this was informed by Rocky Mothu ZPM cum Wildlife Activist, Daporijo.

Bordumsa- Training for Fish Farming 

The Fisheries Department of Changlang organised a three-day training programme on “Development of Wetland Fishery” in Bordumsa sub-division. In total, 50 fish farmers participated in the programme, which was sponsored by the NFDB, Hyderabad. Bordumsa ADC, S Tayeng suggested the farmers to take up fish farming in commercial way by adopting scientific methods. Changlang DFDO, Mihin Tapin urged the participants to take full advantage of such training programmes to upgrade their knowledge on fisheries and aquaculture.

Roing-  Roing-Dambuk has been made through

Road connectivity of Roing-Dambuk has been made through, WRD Parliamentary Secretary Gum Tayeng announced after first trial trip in Dibang Ghat along with other officials here on Wednesday morning. The motorable road will have two crossing by ferry near Bomjir Ghat. She instructed ferry operators to ensure safety and provide proper service before opening of Dibang Bridge.

Naharlagun – workshop on Clean Election

A two-day workshop on ‘Clean Election’ was held at the Nyishi Baptist Church Council (NBCC) in Model Village, Naharlagun on November 28 and 29. Over hundred NBCC workers from various churches attended the workshop, besides a few social workers. NBCC General Secretary Reverend Tar Choya presented a paper on the urgent need and impact of a clean election.Advocate Norbu Lama, President of Arunachal Baptist Church Council exhorted on voters to maintain integrity while exercising their rights for free and fair election.

Aalo-  Hostle and school building inaugurated

West Siang DC Swetika Sachan inaugurated new boys hostel and office building of SFS school during annual parents’ meet on November 26 last. Stressing on preserving culture, provisional superior Rev. Fe. Dr. George Pathanmackel, speaking as chief guest, exhorted the students to inculcate hard work to cope up with latest technology. Dibrugarh region regional superior Rev. Fr. Dr. Emmanuel MT also addressed the gathering including dignitaries. A colorful cultural programme was presented by the students to mark the occasion.

Dambuk- Orange Festival 

Many new events have been added to ensuing Orange Festival, its promoter Abu Tayeng said while addressing a meeting here  attended by  ADC Atul Tayeng,  HoDs of Dambuk sub-division, public leaders and other officials. Dambuk to discuss strategies for ensuing Orange Festival there and other developmental activities of the area. Highlighting the main events, Tayeng informed about hospitality, ticketing, parking etc and sought full cooperation from public and officials for success of the mega events.
