Itanagar- ASUP distributes Clothes to poor
Arunachal Students Union of Punjab on Monday distributed woollen clothes, Shoes and Blankets to the needy and homeless people , usually stayed in footpaths and under flyover in Chandigarh. ASUP, President Tadar Hari and General Secretary Tana Thomas informed Arunachal24 that the innovative idea comes with the students community who are studying in Punjab and Chandigarh for donating warm clothes, shoes, blankets to the needy and homeless people in Sector 43, 16, 35 and PGI area of Punjab.
Tengabari- Balijan Music Festival
The 3rd edition of the Balijan festival held with a huge gathering wherein the cultural extravaganza were performed by the local artist of the three Circle of Sangdupota, Balijan and Taraso on Monday. Addressing the gathering as chief guest Balijan, Tana Puna Tara said that culture unite the people and it is a platform to highlight and focus the hidden talents of the local artist of the area. He appeal the people to support artist in their endeavour for promotion and cultural tourism in the state with strengthening of unity in diversity.
Pasighat- Sarvadharam Sammelan
A sarvadharam sammelan was held at Pasighat. Addressing the sammelan as Chief guest Laisam Samai, hon’ble Parliamentary secretary, appealed to the party workers to think about how to develop their locality and strengthen their leader. He encourage all the pastors, missionaries, all the people from donyi polo, Muslims who were attending the meeting and said BJP is a purely Political party and run the all round development of country with a agenda of “sabka saath sabka vikas”.
Itanagar- Army Recruitment Rally
The Indian Army is going to conduct Army Recruitment Rally for male candidates of Arunachal Pradesh from 2ndFeb 2018 to 8th Feb 2018 at Likabali in various categories such as Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesman, Soldier Technical, Soldier clerk, Soldier Nursing Assistant. The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan has stressed that as unemployment is a major hurdle towards the development of the state, such recruitment rallies would provide a platform to the unemployed youths not just with employment opportunities but would also help strengthen the armed forces.
Ziro- Pare-Ami market shed inaugurated
ZPC Hage Kobin inuguarated the Pare-Ami market shed under the agies of Lower Subansiri Vegetable Growers Co-Operative Society Ltd. (LSVGCS) at Ziro today. Terming farmers as the backbone of our rural society he called for coordination between the agrarian group and the panchayat members. PRI members have been mandated to select beneficiaries for various agriculture and horticulture schemes by the government. Therefore care should be taken to include the entrepreneurs and progressive farmers to encourage them and boost production in the District. He further advised the vegetable growers to opt for organic farming.
East Siang – Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign
District Planning Workshop and TOT for Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign was organized by the District Health Society at the DC Conference hall on Monday. While chairing the meeting, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak called for concerted effort to achieve cent percent immunization coverage of the targeted groups in the district. Government has launched the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign across the state to reduce measles morbidity and mortality and the 3rd phase immunization would cover children in the age group of 9 months to less than 15 years, he said.
Raga- Free mega health camp
Raga Area Employees Welfare Association (RAEWA) and Kapu Kabak Youth Foundation (KKYF) in collaboration with RK Mission Hospital, Itanagar and District Health Society, Ziro conducted free mega health camps at Raga and Yorkum on 26th and 27th of November respectively . Out of the 502 patients checked 9 were referred to Gyati Takka general hospital for cataract surgery. Dr. Kapu Sopin , SMO and the organizer of the health camp personally escorted the patients to Ziro, for the surgery. The transportation and operation costs will be borne by the health camp organizers.
