Itanagar-  Damages due to Rainfall  

Due to continuous torrential rainfall ,the Capital complex Itanagar have experienced several damages in The region. The EOC has acted upon on receiving of reports and accordingly executing agencies have pressed on their work. The Deptt of PWD,Nlg today cleared the siltation buried in the culvert near VKV,Nirjuli. Also the debris caused by landslide near PHQ, Chandranagar have been cleared today by A.E PWD CD-A, Itanagar. In an appeal from DDMA to the denizens of Capital Complex have asked to co-operate in reporting the actual damages pertaining to natural calamities exclusively and refrain from hoax calls. Also to co-operate the executing agencies in their particular works for early completion of work assigned to them.

Itanagar- Compensation Cheque Handing over 

The compensation for structures/assets on the NH-415 from Chandranagar to Papunalla-Jullang Tri Junction (Package-“A”), commenced today with the handing of first cheque to  Taksing Sala by Techi Kaso, Hon’ble MLA 13th Itanagar, Parliamentary Secretary (UD, TP, Municipal affairs & PWD) in the presence of Prince Dhawan, IAS Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex , along with officers from Highways, Electrical Dept, PhED and administrative officers. The compensation payment was carried out by committee till 1700 Hrs and total of 38 persons claimed the compensation from list of 116 persons. It is hoped that this will go a long way in promoting the development of 4-laning that will improve the life of citizens immensely.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 28th April 2017Pasighat-  MLA and DC inspect Subbung Micro Hydel Project sites

Dy. Commissioner, Siang District, Rahul Singh  and MLA Tapang Taloh inspected the Subbung Micro Hydel Project sites today and met the villagers. Taloh cautioned the concern engineers of the project,  not to compromise with the quality of the work as there was some construction on channel that had got collapsed.  While on the part of concern engineers, they cited the MLA and DC about the land donors’ sealing up of the power sub-station due to non disbursement of their liabilities. However, both EE and AE said that the project is almost completed and they are also working hard to get it commissioned early though their predecessors might have made some mistake in the fund management. While responding to their grievances, MLA Tapang Taloh and DC Rahul Singh assured to get the villagers’ liabilities paid at the earliest and urged them to open the sealing so that work continues so that the project get commissioned soon. Taloh also assured the villagers to submit their 7 points memorandum to the Chief Minister.

Pasighat- Review Meeting on Intensified Malaria Control

While addressing in the State Level Review Meeting on Intensified Malaria Control Project-III (IMCP-III) here today in the Pasighat Horticulture College auditorium, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak advised the doctors to work with missionary zeal for the benefit of all sections of the society. Noting that community participation is most crucial in prevention of vector diseases, the DC suggested the department to conduct rigorous and frequent awareness campaigns regarding the preventive steps to be taken by the people in their communities. He said, doctors perform humanitarian work in society and are responsible for increased life expectancy and improved well-being in society. In view of the emerging challenges, he the urged people to rely on the symptomatic treatment for vector borne diseases like malaria, dengue and chikungunia etc and to report nearby health centers immediately.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 28th April 2017Changlang-Training Programme on Food Processing

NERCORMP, District Changlang has recently funded a Training Programme on Food Processing, Bakery and Entrepreneurship & Skill Development for its beneficiaries at Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati, GOI. Under the approval & sound guidance of Sukajit (NERCORMP,Project Manager), a total no. of 25 Community members from various project villages were given professional training by much-experienced & well learned instructors at IIE, Ghy. The Skill & Entrepreneurship Development training was conducted for about 3 long weeks which not just included theory & practical classes inside the campus but also included Exposure tours in & around the city. The very Purpose of this training was to promote Non-farm sector in the rural areas of the district by bringing about good awareness to the community members and at the same time make them skilful in order to turn them enterprising which would in turn boost rural economy in the region which is in fact the sole objective of NERCORMP.The team was headed by Business Development Officer along with Partner NGO (Arunachal Vikas Parishad).

Khonsa- District Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy tournament

The first ever District Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy tournament was declared opened by Khonsa Battalion Assam Rifles Commanding Officer on 27th April at Nehru Stadium, Khonsa amidst huge gathering of HoDs, PRIs, Public, Sports lovers, Participants. While declaring the 1st Ever District Level HDMTT, 2017 opened, CO 1st Assam Rifles, who was Chief Guest of the event said that born in the soil of Tirap, Arunachal Pradesh Martyr Hangpan Dada is the Hero of Northeast India in particular and Country as a whole adding that Hangpan Dada is inspiration for the youth of Tirap through out the tournament and in the years to come. He urged the participants to play the tournament with patience, discipline and sportsman spirit in the honour of Martyr Hangpan Dada. Earlier, the formal ceremonial programme was started with lighting the candle lights on the portrait of Martyr Hangpan Dada by Chief Guest CO 16 Assam Rifles and Children of Martyr Dada which was followed by 2 minutes of silent to mark respect to the departed soul of Martyr Hangpan Dada, Ashok Chakra Posthumous.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 28th April 2017Itanagar- Cash Award to Nabam Runghi

Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex , Prince Dhawan, IAS , in a simple yet glittering function held in his office chamber on Thursday handed over a Demand Draft of Rs. 2 Lakh to Nabam Runghi.  Runghi is the HGB of Bormai Village under Tarasso Circle The Cash award was given to Runghi in addition to the State Award he had already received during the Statehood Day for public service as a former councillor of the then NEFA administration.  Nabam Runghi had played pivotal and pioneer role in establishment of State Capital at Itanagar and for his service that the State Govt. bestowed him with the cash award.

Pasighat- Consumer Education for grass root level

The Consumer Service Society, a voluntary consumer organization in East Siang district, Pasighat (Ruksin) has organized a day-long awareness programme on consumer protection under the theme “consumer education for grass root level” here today at the Kebang Garh of Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Ruksin.  Attending the programme as special invitee, Mr Tapang Taloh, Rtd Director School Elementary Education while appreciating the Consumer Service Society for organizing the campaign in a small place like Ruksin, has appealed them to conduct similar campaign in villages targeting people of grass root level who are the most vulnerable in the hand fraudulent trade practices. They are to be trained well so that they could protect themselves and exercise their rights as consumer in need of time, he added. Taking reference to costly local beads which the valuation is made based on visual examination; he cast doubt on genuineness in pricing vis-à-vis material cost.
