Siang- Pasighat-Pangin Trans Arunachal Highway

Restoration work in the recently damaged Pasighat-Pangin Trans Arunachal Highway has commenced in full swing with deployment of heavy machinery, drilling, blasting and deep earth cutting by T.K. Engineering Consortium. As a long term plan, in order to avoid inconvenience during such incidents in the foreseeable future, provision for an alternate route near the highway is also being planned. The Deputy Commissioner Siang District, Rahul Singh is taking continuous updates on the matter and also trying to ensure that the restoration work is completed and the road opened for commuting at the earliest for the greater convenience of public. An executive order restricting heavy vehicular and machinery movement have also been issued in this regard so that there is no threat to human life and further damage to the road can be avoided.

Itanagar- DDMA Emergency Operation Centre

Due to nonstop torrential rain since last few days many areas in around capital complex were flooded causing landslide and road blockade. The District Disaster Management Authority has put on the Emergency Operation Centre on High Alert. On receipt of calls in the helpline no from various section of affected people the DDMA directed all the concerned executing agencies for necessary action. Accordingly, the debris of the landslide occurred in the Senki View, Donly Polo Road have been cleared by Executive Engineer, PWD CD-A, Itanagar. As reported by the Extra Assistant Commissioner, Naharlagun, the house of  Tadar Tarish of Pachin Colony was in verge of collapsing due to river diversion, the family have vacated themselves to alternate location. Further, temporary flood preventative measure are being undertaken on voluntary basis by the people of Pachin colony.

Siang- Promote Awareness on Digital Payments

A meeting-cum-workshop on Digital Payments was held on Wednesday at Pangin under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Siang District, Rahul Singh which was attended by all the HoDs, admin officers, PRI members, representatives from the bank, local shopkeepers and businessmen. The DC in his address stated that this was the first in the series of such meetings which would be held subsequently in other parts of the district and the objective of this meeting was to promote and also generate awareness on digital payments. Seeking close cooperation and active participation from all present in creating further awareness and information dissemination he called upon them to be the agents for successful implementation of the various schemes initiated by the government for the betterment of public. Recognizing the importance of digital payments and cashless transactions more importantly in the wake of demonetisation and the prevailing  problem of severe cash crunch, he said that this programme would be highly beneficial for the general public and needs to be implemented in letter and spirit at the earliest.

Roing- Co-ordination Meeting for Disaster Preparedness

In view of the arrival of South-west monsoon, a co-ordination meeting for Disaster preparedness was convent by DDMO, Roing. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Smti Chestha Yadav, IAS, In-charged Deputy Commissioner at DC’s conference Hall here today. All HoDs, Administrative officers ,BRTF, CRPF and other official attended the programme.  Smti Chestha Yadav, IAS, In-charged Deputy Commissioner emphasised on pre inspection and survey of all vulnerable location and directed to ensured man and machinery are ready for mitigating any threatening disaster. She also directed all the line departments to keep alert and regular checking of water level, inspection of water tank and provision for safe drinking water, inspection of road and clearance of drainage and road, uninterrupted communication network etc. She also directed BRTF, CRPF and Fire service to keep alert and sought the updated report on manpower and list of inventories available to them.

Itanagar-  DC distributes daily utility items to UTPs

As an effort towards providing better basic requirement to the UTPs lodged in various Police Stations in Capital Complex, the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex,  Prince Dhawan, IAS on Wednesday distributed & handed over daily utility items for the use of the UTPs kept in the Police Lock up at Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, Banderdewa and the Women Police Station. The items distributed are
Mattress for the UTPs kept in the Police Lock so that they are not compelled to sleep on floor, Blanket, Dress for UTPs : Sometimes while transporting UTPs from the Police Lock up to the Court it is felt essential for proper identification, Bucket & Mug for use in the Police Lock up, Rice Plate & Glass for UTPs and Bleaching Power and Phenyl for Hygiene and Sanitation in the Lock up

Bomdila-  New Anganwadi Center Inaugurated 

 An Anganwadi Center developed in one hectare area having facilities for pre-school like Children Park, child friendly toilet, separate kitchen and store was inaugurated today at Shergaon administrative unit in the district by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sonal Swaroop. Brainchild of Circle Officer Shergaon Dr. Rubu Tabyio; this Anganwadi Centre is a trend setter for others to emulate. Terming the dream project as a good learning experience, CO Tabyio thanked the village communities, the NGOs and the individual contributors who, other than the department concerned, volunteered and readily came forward to make him realize his dream of this unique project come true. Seemingly impressed, DC Sonal Swaroop said that the Anganwadi Centre was one of its kinds in the whole of the state. Praising the awareness and community participation, she opined that this is the best example of the communities coming together for realization of a dream.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 27th April 2017Ziro- Rupay Kisan Credit Cards Launched 

The Apex Bank and NABARD have launched off the Rupay Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) in Ziro on April 25.All together, 126 farmers were issued Rupay KCC during the launching ceremony .Launching the cards, ADC Nending Chatung urged the people to open bank accounts with the Apex Bank and avail benefits under various government schemes. He also advised to repay the loans on time and enable the bank to recycle the loaning process so that maximum beneficiaries may be covered under the scheme. Earlier in his address, MD of Apex Bank, Tsering Thongdok said that the Apex Bank is now fully computerized in CBS platform and providing banking services at par with other commercial banks. He highlighted the features of Rupay KCC, stating that it is in digital form and the farmers can withdraw the loan amount from ATM/ Micro ATM or POS machine as per requirement. The scheme also has provision for interest subsidy in case the loan amount is repaid within the time period.

Tawang- House Collapsed in Hoongla 

A local house at Hoongla village, under Lumla circle collapsed on Tuesday, unable to bear the brunt of incessant rain. The house belongs to Damchoe, a farmer. Though no casualties have been reported, the heavy downpour severely damaged the drains and washed away massive farmlands of the agricultural village. Lumla SDMO, Nima Tashi and public leader Nawang Tashi inspected and verified the site. The SDMO has assured all necessary relief to the family from the government.
