Itanagar- 10th World disability day celebration-2017

Former Home Minister and Nacho MLA Tanga Byaling today inaugurated the 10th World disability celebration week long programme here at Nyokum Lapang ground today. Addressing the inauguration function Byaling said disabled are due to some reason and no one should disregard. The Government of India have now termed a ‘Divvyang’ and they are equally like us and they should be given the same respect and regard like us. He said that there are a need of few more school for people with disability in state and he shall take up the issue with the government and will raise the issue in the assembly also. He appeal the

Itanagar – NCC day observed in capital

NCC day observed by NCC cadets of both Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) and Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic (RGGPI) with several programmes. The cadets on the occasion donate blood for the social cause of the humanity. RGGP Principal Dr. A.K Tripathy DNGC, ANO Lt. Agin Taboh,  RGGP NCC officer Palvinder Singh among others address the gathering and took part in the celebration which include sporting, literary activities and other activities.

Doimukh- Nabam Rebia inaugurates Doimukh festival

Inaugurating the 2nd Doimukh festival as Chief guest Minister Urban Development, and local MLA Nabam Rebia said that it is happy moment that the youths of state are also taking part in the preservation of cultural value and tradition of state. He said that youths have a great responsibility for the state and nation development. He assured to look into the matter about inclusion of Doimukh festival in a state calendar event. He also assured to sanction some amount to festival committee for construction of Porter track to reached Buddum Langne -a historical heritage of Tai Bida situated at Doimukh to avail tourists

Kalaktang- Thongdok dedicates Gajani Bridge 

Speaker of the Arunchal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Er Tenzing Norbu Thongdok recently  dedicated Gajani Bridge at Chingi village under Kalaktang administrative unit which falls under his assembly segment as the Model / Smart village in accordance with the government directives. The Hon’ble Speaker said that this bridge was a vital part of the OKSRT road communication axis, which will provide all weather connectivity to West Kameng, Bomdilla and Tawang district of the state and will contribute immensely towards the overall growth of the region. For this achievement he conveyed his sincere thanks to GREF authorities who have completed this bridge facing many odds and tough working conditions.

Ruksin-  orphaned leopard cub rescued

Forest  officials of Jonai, Assam have rescued an orphaned leopard cub from a house near Telam Railway Station at the Assam and Arunachal boundary on Sunday morning. It is believed that the tiger cub came down from the nearby hill areas and entered into human habitation plains in search of food. The male leopard cub was brought to Jonai by the forest officials and is currently under care and medical observation as the cub received minor injuries during rescue operation, the officials said.The leopard cub will be released into the wild in Poba Reserve Forest (RF) when it is declared fit to be released, they said.

Itanagar-  Annual Eucharistic Procession

The Annual Eucharistic Procession was held here, with participation of thousands of Catholics. Bishop of Itanagar, Retired Reverend Dr John Thomas also led the huge gathering in praying for the country, especially for Arunachal Pradesh and its leaders. Earlier, Reverend Father Mathai, the Parish Priest of St Mary’s Parish, encouraged the faithful to participate in the Eucharistic procession and to pray for all, especially those suffering from serious illnesses. Arunachal Pradesh Catholic Association President, Taw Tabin also spoke on the occasion.

Itanagar- Karate Training camp concludes 

The five days training camp and seminar organised by  Arunachal Shito Ryu Karate Do Association (ASKA), concluded. The main objective of the camp was to train and impart basic karate knowledge to all the instructors, coaches from various districts, branches, institutes and senior karatekas from different parts of the state. The training was conducted under the guidance of Shihan Tala Ahmed, Referee Commission (NESKFI) and Judge, Asian Karate Federation (AKF) and Shihan Bulang Marik, AKF Judge and Technical Director of ASKA, informed Dr. Marli Ete, President, ASKA.
