TEZU- Awareness programme on GST/ Excise
Tax and Excise department in coordination with the District Administration organized one day awareness cum interactive programme on GST/ Excise matter for the business community of the district on 25th May in the conference hall of the DC’s office, Tezu. The Deputy Commissioner welcomed all the participants and lauded Tax and Excise department for conducting the programme, which is first of its kind in the state. Highlighting the importance of GST, he said that implementation of GST will not only streamline the tax administration but also improve revenue efficiency and control leakages. He further added that no stones will be left unturned by the District Administration to implement GST successfully in the district, for which cooperation of the business community is very essential. A detailed power point presentation on GST was given by Oli Koyu, Supt. Tax and Excise. Speaking on the importance of tax registration, he said that tax and revenue are the backbone of the government and therefore he urged all the participants to refrain from tax evasion. Stressing on three important points i.e. registration, return and payment, he explained in detail the salient feature of the bill and a mock practice of GST registration was also done.
KANUBARI- Community Health Centre gets Ambulance
The Community Health Centre, Kanubari received a new ambulance on Monday, which was flagged off by MLA Gabriel D Wangsu. Addressing the doctors and staff of the CHC, Wangsu called upon all to perform beyond the normal call of duty. Dwelling on the need for honesty and sincerity in serving the weak, poor and needy people, the MLA further called upon the people to ensure that the ambulance is judiciously used in the best interest of the public. Wangsu, who also is the Chairman of State Council for IT and e-Governance, expressed gratitude to Airport Authority of India Chairman, Guruprasad Mohapatra, Personal Secretary to Union Minister for Civil aviation Ankur Garg and Longding Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Gupta for their sincere efforts towards the cause of humanity in a remote location, which is bereft of even basic health facilities. Kanubari ADC in-charge, N Borang also underscored the need to properly use the ambulance while thanking all concerned for making the ambulance service available for the people of Kanubari Sub-division. He further rendered valuable words of advice to the medical staff of CHC, Kanubari and the people in general. Large gathering of people, including HoDs, officers and PR leaders witnessed the flag-off programme. Fitted with advance life supporting system, the traveller ambulance for Kanubari CHC was donated by AAI under its CSR initiative.
CHANGLANG- Mission Indradhanush
The 6th District Task Force for Immunisation meeting was held here at DC’s conference hall on Friday to review the performance of 4th round of Mission Indradhanush and Routine Immunisation in the district. DRCHO Dr Tope Yomcha reviewed the facility wise performance reports of Mission Indradhanush round-IV submitted by the various Health Centres of the district and informed that 100 percent pregnant ladies who were left out or partially vaccinated were covered and fully immunised. However he informed that in case of partially vaccinated or left out children the target was not fully achieved. Dr Yomcha also reviewed facility wise performances of Routine Immunisation for the month of April 2017. UNICEF Consultant Dr Pinaki Sensarma discussed the qualitative feed backs as well as areas of improvement and concern on mission indradhanush phase-IV as per the observation of the UNICEF team. He also raised facility specific issues and advised the MO in charge to rectify the faults. Circle Officer, Changlang Nobu Chader who chaired the meeting requested the MO incharge of Health facility centre in the district as well as ASHAs to work more dedicatedly so that 100 percent immunisation is achieved in all the sectors.
ANJAW- Swachh Bharat Abhiyan reviews
A District Level Coordination meeting was held on 25th May’2017 at District Headquarter, Hawai to review status of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the district, to look as convergence activities taken up with stake holding departments like Education, Medical, Urban Development, PHED and Forest, and to strategise the way forward Deputy Commissioner, Smti. Mamata Riba , chairing the meeting, while appreciating the keen participation of the Panchayat Raj leaders of Anjaw at District, Circle level as well as village level in various SBM Oriented Programmes drawn up by the District Administration over 2016-17 in the form of Swachhata Runs, Swachhata Rallies, Safai Abhiyans, district wide Sanitation Week Celebrations ,Cleanliness campaigns under Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Mission, called upon all the stakeholders to avail expertise of Zila Swachh Bharat Prerak for Anjaw under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation Ms. Badapbiang Tariang Dkhar, in service in the District , so that 100% ODF status for the district can be achieved at the earliest.
PASIGHAT- DC inspects ongoing projects
On the direction of Principal Secretary (Home & Vigilance etc) GoAP arising out of a case filed by one Radha Kanta Tripathi, Advocate and Rights Activist at NHRC (Law Division) Manav Adhikar Bhawan, New Delhi, the Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak with ADC Ruksin T Pada, EE (PHED) Er. Bimal Welly, AEs of PHED and WRD, GBs and PRI leaders and also villagers carried out on the spot inquiry at Debing village today and inspected the work of the project up to Lilek Korong (River) which is about six kilo meter from Debing village towards north along up-streams of Debing river despite inclement weather on foot by crisscrossing flooding/turbulent river. DC also inspected sedimentation/distillation plant of the project which have been constructed under National Rural Drinking Water Project, GoI. Back in the village Dere, Tatak held a development cum co-ordination meeting with the GBs, PRIs, senior members of the village executing agency and officers present and directed the EE (PHED), the Nodal department cum Executing Agency to prepare an subsidiary DPR for reconstruction of the damaged headwork of the said project and obtain necessary funds from the concerned department/ministry at the earliest and to accomplish the restoration work by coming winter season so that water supply problem of Debing village including replacement/ renovation of distribution lines so that Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) which is Flagship program of GoI and GoAP is achieved in the village.
ITANAGAR- DC reviewed all the developmental activities
A meeting was convened in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex to discuss various issues related to Developmental Activities of Rural Areas under the jurisdiction of Capital Complex. The meeting was presided over by Prince Dhawan, IAS and attended by all the PR leaders of Capital Complex and Officers of Line/Works Departments within the Capital Complex. In the meeting the DC reviewed all the developmental activities being carried out in the Rural areas of Capital Complex. After hearing the grievances of PR leaders the DC directed the concerned officers to look into the grievances accordingly. The DC informed that more solar lights will be procured this year and will be placed at strategic locations of Ganga-Baath village in particular and Capital Complex in general. The DC directed RWD and PWD Departments to carryout survey of the roads within the rural areas which is to be constructed and not eligible under PJMSY and submit reports so that the matter can be brought to the notice of the State Government for construction the roads at the earliest. He further requested all the line departments and PR leaders to work in a coordinated manner and assured the PR leaders that he will visit the Rural areas in coming days to attend grievance/ problems faced by the villagers.
ITANAGAR- Heavy Monsoon
Due to heavy monsoon rain yesterday night, there was land slide at Lobi Panchali Road and Panchali Senki View road blocking all the traffic movement. Under the direction of DDMA, the PWD CD-A rushed to the spot and clear the landslide restoring the traffic movement. Furthers many drain blockages were cleared by the alert PWD Department of Naharlagun and Itanagar. Prince Dhawan, IAS, Chairman, DDMA calls all the denizens of Capital Complex to take extra preventive measures especially to the people resigning by the riverside and sloppy areas and to stay alert during the Monsoon Season. The citizens may report any natural calamities such as drain blockages, flooding and landslides to Emergency Operating Centre (EOC) at toll free nos. 1077.
AALO- Ramakrishna Mission distributes relief materials
Ramakrishna Mission Aalo distributed 166 blankets, 26 sets of utensils containing Kadahai, Pot, Kettle, Bucket, Plates, Bowls, Hata, Jug, Glass and Mug) and school stationeries for 61 students of 26 families of Kerang fire victims on 17th May last. Swami Divya bodha nanda and Shubhajit, Ravishankar, Manahar, Madhu and Yoga nanda Maharaj ji along with staff members distributed the reliefs and consoled the fire victims to bear with the misfortune incident and encouraged them to start the process of resettlement.
YINKIONG- Alo Libang inaugurates community hall
Minister RD, PR & Cooperation, Alo Libang inaugurated a newly built cum community hall at Gobuk village under his home constituency on 24th May 2017 amidst a large gathering. Adong Pertin, I/c DC, Yingkiong, Amulya Borah SP, other HODs,. PRI members and public attended the inaugural programme. Public memorandum was submitted by Smti Api Kombo, Anchal Samity Chairperson, Yingkiong demanded a quarry road for the village, inte4r village link road connecting Gobuk village, installation of mobile tower and a Health Sub-centre at Gobuk village. The visiting minister assured to take up the issues on priority. He urged the PRI members to be pro-active in the developmental process. He also urged the HODs/HOOs to train and create awareness of the various govt. schemes & programmes to the villagers at appropriate levels.It is pertinent to mention that the NH513 from Yingkiong to Gobuk portion (25 km) has been completed and this stretch gives one a smooth feeling of driving in sort of a express way. it must be mention here that Gobuk village is located at about 700m to 1400 m above mean sea level. It is the most pioneering and innovative village in upper Siang. This village pioneered Apple, Kiwi and organic Tea cultivation in the district. It shows how farmer here are innovative, bold and hard working.
