Siang- Installation of Mobile Towers Discussed 

The Deputy Commissioner Siang District, Rahul Singh on Tuesday held a meeting with representatives from Bharti Airtel in Pangin where modalities for installation of Airtel towers in various areas of the District were chalked out and agreement for installation of permanent tower in Pangin was signed. The district in the past had to face innumerable hardships due to lack of proper communication and telecom facilities thus hampering administrative work ,causing inordinate delays and inconvenience for official procedures and also for the general public. Under the initiative of and due to relentless efforts by the Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh along with the active cooperation of Airtel North-east Head, Sameer Anjaria, Airtel Services using Coverage on Wheel (COW) facility as a temporary measure before the final installation of permanent towers was launched in Pangin earlier this January. Apart from signing of the agreement, today’s meeting focused on provision to launch Airtel Services in other left out areas of the District.

Siang- Constituency level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy

The Constituency level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (football and volleyball for both men and women) for 35 Pangin-Boleng Constituency in Siang District was kicked off at Pangin on 25th April 2017 by the BEO Pangin Shri K.Takuk in the presence of the District Sports Officer in-charge Shri T.K Kopak and the general public. The opening match was played between the women football teams from Rebo-Perging Circle and Riga circle where Riga circle won the match by 4-1. The tournament is being organised by the Department of Sports and commenced for the district on 23rd in Rumgong.

Itanagar-Indrajit Namchoom under-19 Football Tournament

The Indrajit Namchoom under-19 Football Tournament 2017 will kick-start on 28tht to 30th April 2017 with curtain  raiser at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun. The opening ceremony will be held  at RG stadium on 1st May 2017. The matches will be held at Chimpu sports complex, Chimpu from 2nd to 9th May 2017 from 700 hours to 1730 hours. The closing ceremony will be held on 10th 2017 at RG stadium, Naharlagun. HCM and HE Guv will grace the opening and closing ceremonies  as chief guests respectively…All are cordially invited to join to encourage the young players

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 26th April 2017Changlang- Moh-Mol Celebrated 

The Tangsa Community of Changlang celebrated Moh-Mol, an annual agriculture based festival with great pomp and tradition fervour, here at festival ground Changlang on Tuesday. Appreciating the rich culture of Tangsas displayed by the folk dancers of various sub-tribes attired in colourful and culturally flamboyant dresses, the MLA 53-Kanubari (ST)-cum- Chairman IT and Science & Technology Gabriel D Wangsu advocated for protection, preservation and propagation of age old tradition and culture for the future generation as well as for the future identity.  Showing concern over the fading and ever degenerating interest of the youth in traditional culture due to their inclination towards bollywood music, Gabriel appealed that time has come to dedicate and participate for preservation of the rich tradition and culture. He said that even the traditional food we eat is a part and parcel of the culture and one must not lose habit of consuming it. He advised the younger generation to inherit the rich culture and continue it to the later generations further.  Stating that many dialogues are on verge of its extinction he suggested for keeping written record of Tangsa dialogue adding that knowing one’s own dialogue has become a necessity.

Yupia- World Malaria Day observed 

District Vector Borne Disease Control Society, Yupia today observed World Malaria Day at, Aane Yache School, Nirjuli in presence of publics, district staffs, students and teaching staffs. Along with Extempore speech students also demonstrated Skit play on, “End malaria for Good†with “Swatch Bharat Abhiyan†theme. District VBDCP Officer, Dr Tana Aruna, called upon all the publics to access for free govt. supplied Diagnostic kits (RDKs) and Anti-Malarial Drugs which are available in all the Government Health Facilities. Stressing on the swatch Bharat Abhiyaan, with advent of the monsoon season the water logging and stagnant all around is the mainstay of high mosquito breedingsite which needs to be cleared up by keeping clean and hygiene surroundings ithpersonal protectives measures especially for childrens and Pregnant women.

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 11th April 2017Lohit- Second Phase of Ujala Yojana 

UJALA YOJANA (Ujjwal Jeevan by Affordable LED Appliances), a flagship programme of the Govt. of India, which was launched for the first time in the state in Lohit District on 10th April 2017 by Danish Ashraf, I.A.S., Deputy Commissioner, Lohit, continues to spread its light to needy houses through affordable LED bulbs and tube lights. The second phase of the programme commenced from 23rd April 2017, in which 3100 nos of 9W LED bulbs were distributed in the District, through the Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA). The programme was introduced earlier in the District as a part of the vision of the D.C. to convert the Lohit District into ‘Smart District’ by turning it into energy-efficient one by use of renewable/efficient energy devices & appliances. There is a huge demand for the energy efficient appliances in the district and we are striving hard to fulfill it through EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Ltd), the central govt Agency who has been entrusted to procure and provide the appliances to the State Nodal  Agencies, informed Er. Aalo- Border Area Development Programme reviewed

The District Level Committee on Border Area Development Programme thread  barely reviewed schemes implemented during the year 2016-17 and new schemes to be taken up  during the20 17-18 in a meeting held under the chairmanship of West Siang Deputy  Commissioner, Gamli Padu at Conference of DC office on 24th April last. Stressing on judicious and optimum utilization of fund made available to Mechuka- Tato and Pidi- Monigong CD Block, the DC on proper monitoring of all schemes by the  Planning department so that fruits of development benefit border people. Abstract cost of  estimate and sanctioned amount of many of the need based security schemes should be  provided to ITBP in the borders and joint inspection should be carried out after  completion and completion report of from the Para military forces is mandatory. He also  stressed on incorporating basic services requirements like drinking water supply,  furniture in schools, and procurement of medicines in the schemes to ameliorate the  condition of border people

Arunachal- State News in Brief, 26th April 2017Khonsa- LED Solar Street Lights

In a symbolic event to dedicate 38 numbers of LED Solar Street Lights to the general public of Khonsa Block funded under BADP 2016-17 and MLALAD 2016-17, the series of street lights was inaugurated by Wanglam Sawin, HMLA 55-Khonsa East (ST) A/C cum Chairman APSMPB, in presence of  Ravi Jha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Tirap District at Khonsa,  on Tuesday.  The installation of lighting system had been executed by APEDA, Khonsa. Speaking on the occasion MLA Wanglam Sawin emphasized about the importance of solar energy in Tirap District adding that it is a humble steps to address the frequent power cut from Kuthalguri. He stated the relevance of the project with reference to the erratic power supply and focus toward renewable energy source for sustainable future.  And said it as a step forward for improving power scenario and for fulfilling the basic public amenities at Khonsa. The Solar Street Lights installed at various places of Khonsa Block including General Hospital, Khonsa, Market area, Sensitive junction points which will be very helpful for drivers/ travelling during night as well as it is expected to play a significant role in reducing theft cases and criminality along the road.

Itanagar- State level KAYAKALP Award

The State level KAYAKALP Award ceremoney was held at the official chamber of Jomde Kena, Honb’le Minister Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh at his secretariat office, Itanagar. The award is to felicitate for the best District Hospitals (DH) and Community Health Centres (CHC) in the state. Earlier welcoming the gathering,  P.N Thungon, Mission Director (National Health Mission), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh mentioned that the award of cash incentives and citations are being given yearly since May’2015 through the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India for the best DH, CHC and Primary Health Centres in the state. The KAYAKALP award is given to those health facilities under the following parameters- hospital upkeep, sanitation & hygiene, waste management, infection control, support services and hygiene promotion. For the year 2016-17, the DH Tawang received the best DH award with a cash incentive of Rs. 50.00 lakh only and a citation followed by commendation award to DH Yingkiong with a cash incentive of Rs.3.00 lakh only in the District Hospital category. Under the CHC category, Ruksin CHC received the best CHC award with a cash incentive of Rs. 15.00 lakh only and a citation followed by commendation award to CHC Jang with a cash incentive of Rs.1.00 lakh only.

Pasighat- MLA Tapang Taloh donated a double engines boat

Pangin MLA Tapang Taloh has inspected progress on various ongoing projects during an extensive tour of his constituency. He yesterday on April-24 while pushing for early completion of various road works in his constituency has donated a double engines boat from his own management to expedite road construction to connect Sissen village with rest part of the world. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Taloh informed that the boat was donated by him for transhipment of men and machineries expediting the Sissen road and also to use the waterways by the people as temporary conveyance. It is worth to mention here that the villagers of Sissen had boycotted Assembly Election in 2014 saying “No Road, No Vote” and Election Commission of India was failed to conduct poll in the thinly populated Sissen village. Naturally blessed Sissen is known for its bravery and agri-horticulture products. Century ago, British Officer Dr. Gragarson was killed by Adi warriors here. The village is also known for highest agri-horticulture produces but even after 70 years of Independence, has no proper road communication to promote marketing facilities. However, under the leadership of local MLA Taloh, a 40.35 Km road has been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) which will connect Sissen village with Komsing (Kumku) village via Karo and Pangi villages. A public meeting was organized by Sissen villagers led by Tajir Siram on the day.

Yingkiong- My village, My Development Plan

The first day of the Week long capacity Building training on participatory Planning on “ My village, My Development Plan” involving the Head of Departments, PRI members began at Multipurpose Tourist Complex, Yingkiong on Tuesday. The inaugural session was attended by Remo Kamki, DC DPDO A. Pertin, ZPMs, ASC, ASMs other PRI members & HoDs of various departments. The main objective of organizing the programme is to acquaint/orient the Head of departments and PRI members about My Village My Development Plan, there the role of various level of stakeholders in planning and implementation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan, possible convergence of schemes implementated in the District with MVMDP. Similar programmes covering other administrative circles of Mariyang, Katan, Geku, Tuting and Jengging will be held involving all the stakeholders. The whole programme is coordinated by S.W. Bayang, faculty, SIRD, Itanagar.
