Itanagar- Governor extends greetings on Chalo Loku 

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) has extended his warm greetings to the people of the State on the festive occasion of ‘Chalo Loku’ celebrated by the Nocte tribe of Tirap district.  In his message, the Governor emphasized that the indigenous communities in Arunachal Pradesh need to preserve, nurture and promote their culture and heritage. Festivals are an important heritage link for the communities and these festivities enhance their wellbeing and emotional cohesion. It also increase self-esteem, cultural confidence, develop initiative, leadership and collective opportunity for fulfilling community needs and materializing their aspirations, he added.

Itanagar- Mega Health Awareness and Medical Camp 

The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar capital complex Prince Dhawan today inaugurated the Mega Health Awareness and Medical Camp organised by Regional Ayurvedic Research institute (RARI) Itanagar at Govt. Middle School, Jollang to initiate “Swasthya Rakshan Programme” linked with Swachha Bharat Mission as per direction of the Ministry of AYUSH. Program was organized to render clinical services (Swasthya Rakhshan OPD, Swasthya Parikshan Camps and heal/ hygiene awareness programme), free health checkup and counseling by specialist of Ayurveda. Demonstration of Home Remedies, raw drugs for treatment of common ailment and display of medicinal plants were the part of the Camp.

Itanagar- Police seizes gambling materials

The team led by Magistrate & Police under order of DM &SP, Itanagar Capital Complex conducted raids at H sector, Division-IV, Gohpur tinali, Zoo road, RWD Colony, Jullang village and seized gambling materials, which were later reportedly destroyed by the team,   Five people engaged in playing dice are arrested. Similar illegal activities were found being conducted at ‘Lekhi Friday market, the team seized all the gambling materials and destroyed them there as well. A case was registered at Nirjuly Police Station .

Changlang- Third Wangnia Pongte Memorial Football Running Trophy for Men concluded 

The Third Wangnia Pongte Memorial Football Running Trophy for Men concluded today at General Ground, Changlang with the final match between Kharsang Football Club and Khuchep Football club. The Government Hr Sec School team was adjudged most disciplined team among 30 teams who joined the tournament while of Pongkhung Rekhung of Kharsang FC and Ranphang Taism of Khuchep FC were adjudged best goalkeeper and highest scorer respectively. The winner team was awarded with cash prize of rupees one lakh along with medal & certificates, runner up team with cash prize of rupees fifty thousand with medal & certificates while the most discipline team was awarded with cash prize of rupees twenty thousand. The best goalkeeper and highest scorer were awarded with cash prize of rupees ten thousand each.

West Siang- Tadar Tang Memorial State Level Football Tournament 

The West Siang District Football Association is all set to conduct Zonal Level Qualification Round of 16 of the Tadar Tang Memorial State Level Football Tournament at general Ground Aalo from 27th to 29th Nov. Meanwhile, 30 players have been shortlisted to represent West Siang in the ensuing tournament. The Secretary DFA, Shri Moge Lona has appealed the Organizing Committee to look into all arrangement aspects and selected players to attend coaching and conditioning camp in time.

Itanagar- Firing practice at 1st AAP Bn Firing Range 

The 138 Bn CRPF Sink-view Itanagar of Arunachal Pradesh is going to conduct Firing practice at 1st AAP Bn Firing Range Chimpu w.e.f. 27th Nov 2017 to 29th Nov 2017. Therefore, the District Administration Capital Complex requests the denizens of the Capital Complex to refrain themselves and their children from going into the firing range on particulars days. They are also requested not to allow their domestic animals from going into the firing range.
