Itanagar- NE States Governors meet
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) attended the meeting of Governors of North Eastern States, convened by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India at New Delhi on 23rd November 2017. The meeting was convened to have views of the NE States for the India-ASEAN Special Commemorative Summit, which will be held on 25th January 2018 in New Delhi, where leaders of all ten ASEAN countries are expected to attend. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor highlighted the importance and benefits of ‘Act East’ and better cordial relationship with ASEAN Countries for the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
Anjaw- Library movement in Hawai
“A library can generate a passion for reading” stated Smti. Mamata Riba DC, Anjaw District while launching the library movement in Hawai on the 23rd of November 2017. So far 700 books have been collected through individual donations across India. Some are pre-loved books while a many are new books bought from generous donations. Nonetheless, one thing to be proud of is that it is a home grown movement wherein a majority of the books have been gifted and sourced from Northeastern states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Assam.
Lohit- Training and Awareness on Disability Rehabilitation
Lohit District Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki stressed on the importance of right knowledge and skills to attend to children with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) in schools. Leki was present as Chief Guest in a Training and Awareness programme on Disability Rehabilitation conducted by the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Secunderabad in collaboration with Tezu ICDS Project, Lohit District at BRC Hall. Resource Persons headed by Dr. B. Mohapatra will impart necessary training and awareness to SSA teachers on Intellectual Rehabilitation with effect from 23rd November to 25th November 2017.
West Siang- Demand for charge sheet against rape accused
In a representation submitted to West Siang Superintendent of Police, the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society West Siang Unit, and other various organisation have urged the district police authority for filing charge sheet against one Jumde Geyi who had been arrested on 7th Nov in connection with Aalo PS Case No. 57/17 U/S 376 IPC RW Section4 of POCSO Act 2012 for raping a minor girl aged around 11years. The society and associations have appealed West Siang Superintendent of Police to give necessary direction to Investigating Agency for filing charge sheet as early as possible and not to grant bail to culprit for the heinous crime.
Lower Dibang Valley- Training on Fisheries Technology
three days training programme on Fisheries Technology Transfer and skill development of the farmers was conducted in collaboration with Department of Fisheries Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and National Fisheries Development Board , Hyderabad, at Bolung Panchayat Hall here yesterday. The training programme was inaugurated by smti Titel Pertin , ZPM Parbuk accompanied by anchal chairperson Jibon Pulu and three ASM of Bolung-7 ,all together more than 50 beneficiaries attended the training.
Saing- DLMC review meeting
The District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) review meeting was conducted on 23rd November, 2017 at 10.30 am in the Conference Hall of DC, Pangin to review the status of utilization certificates (UCs) under SPA and physical monitoring and review of status of projects under SADA, 2016-17 & 2017-18 , R.E-2017 and Aadhaar card related issues within the district.The Deputy Commissioner has directed to all the HoDs to submit monthly progress of the works before 25th of every month for onward submission to the State government.
Lower Subansiri- Gamli Padu visited fire accident sites at Hari and Kudung Borang
Divisional Commissioner (West) Gamli Padu visited the fire accident sites at Hari and Kudung Borang to take stock of the relief and rehabilitation of victims today. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner shri Kemo Lollen, SP shri Bomge Kamduk, ZPC shri Hage Kobin , Shri J.T Obi, ADC Yachuli and DDMO Smt. Nima Drema. Padu assured all assistance to speed up relief entitlements to the victims. At the same time he also urged all to be cautious and devise and adopt mechanisms to avoid fire mishaps.
Itanagar- Interview for the Prime Minister Employment Generation Scheme
The interview for the Prime Minister Employment Generation Scheme was conducted today in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex presided over by the Chairman Prince Dhawan IAS, Shri TalomDupak ADC and other members of the District Level Screening Committeeetc. After the interview, 25 applicants were selected as beneficiaries for the year 2017-18. The DC has directed the lead bank manager to ensure early disbursement of loan to selected beneficiaries.
Changlang- Team inspects Govt Scheme
A team comprised of Kamlung Mossang, Hon’ble Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, WRD, Geology & Mining, LM & CA, Phosum Khimhun, Hon’ble Parliamentary Secretary for HPD, Laisam Simai, Hon’ble Parliamentary Secretary for LM & CA, Tesam Pongte, Hon’ble Parliamentary Secretary, DoTCL, Trade and Commerce and Ms Tapasya Raghav, Special Secretary for Health and Family Welfare visited Changlang to assess the progress of all major infrastructure projects, state and centrally sponsored schemes under SADA 2017-18 for Changlang District under Sankalp se Siddhi tak- New India Manthan programme, today. In a meeting held in the conference hall of circuit house Changlang Shri Mossang said that the main objective of their visit was to ensure that the flagship programme of both State and Centre peculates down to the actual beneficiaries.
