Arunachal- State News in Brief , 22nd May 2017ITANAGAR- APYC remember Rajiv Gandhi 

The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) on Sunday observed the 26th death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi by organizing a motorbike rally under the theme “Hum Mein Hai Rajiv”. The rally Flagged off by Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy. The rally starts from Nyikum Niya Hall, Nirjuli and culminated at the party’s state headquarters Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Itanagar. At the event, senior Congress leaders including APCC chief Sanjoy, APYC president Jikke Tako and APCSD chief organizer Kipa Kaha remembered the former Prime Minister and paid floral tributes to his portrait. It was followed by holding of a mass meeting, attended by party workers and office bearers of APCC and its frontal organizations. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjoy recalled the sacrifices made by the Congress leaders, most importantly, Rajiv Gandhi and the ‘Iron Lady’ Indira Gandhi.

DIRANG- Thongdok  inaugurates Jigaon Hydro Electric Project

Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh State Asembly T.N Thongdok  inaugurated the Jigaon Hydro Electric Project on Sunday at Jigaon. This Micro Hydel project will provide 24×7 power supply to Jigaon and Musaksing villages having over 100 Households, The  Speaker expressed his deep gratitude to the Chief Minister Pema Khandu for his generous support and providing constant fund for timely completion of the project. He also expressed His Gratitude to Hon’ble Minister Power Tamio Taga, for all round support.  He also profusely thanked and congratulated all the Hydro Power officers of the district, who have worked very hard for the successful completion of the project. He also declared that over 40000 MW of Hydro Electric projects entered into MOU with various private and CPSU’s the first ever project to be commissioned will be Dikshi Hydro electric project of 24MW targeted for its completion in March 2018. He assured that with commissioning of Kameng Hydro Electric Project of 600 MW, Pare Hydro electric project of 110 MW, 24 MW of Dikshi Hydro electric project and 1MW of Domkhrong Micro Hydro Project will stabilised the power in the state and specially for the 5-kalaktang assembly constituency will be much improved and need not have to depend power from other state.

Arunachal- State News in Brief , 22nd May 2017KHONSA- Special camp on Adhaar Seeding

One day special camp on Adhaar Seeding in Account Numbers of  Customer was conducted by SBI, Khonsa at Khonsa SBI Branch on 21st May, 2017. While highlighting about the importance of special Adhaar Seeding Camp Khonsa SBI Branch Manager  Kumud Ch. Moran, said that Adhaar seeding in account numbers of customers to avail Direct Transfer Benefit of various government schemes adding that registration of INB (Internet Banking Facility) and imparting  training for using the apps in android mobile phone. The Branch Manager urged all the SBI accounts customer to avail DTB(Direct Transfer Benefit) and INB (Internet Banking Facility) to avoid accounts transfer problems stating that customer in possession of a smart phone and internet connection can avail INB facility, customer having INB can use a number of banking facilities without visiting a SBI Branch physically, it is similar to having a SBI Branch in your pocket.

SEPPA- Kameng Dolo join BJP 

Former Deputy Chief Minister Kameng Dolo, along with his supporters on Saturday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a party function held at Seppa. The function was attended by Home minister Kumar Waii, parliamentary secretaries Tapuk Taku, Mama Natung and Karya Bagang, and BJP East Kameng district President L K Yangfo, among others. Dolo had recently resigned from the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) citing ‘personal reasons’ after losing the membership of the State Legislative Assembly, following a Gauhati High Court ruling in connection with an election petition filed against him by former minister Atum Welly. The joining programme was held at District Executive Meeting of the party, wherein senior party leader and East Kameng In-charge, Techi Necha, Minority Morcha President Loko Sonu and numerous party workers from East Kameng district attended.

Arunachal- State News in Brief , 22nd May 2017SEPPA- Mama Natung inspects RD projects 

A team of the department of Rural Development  led by Parliamentary Secretary Mama Natung has made a whirlwind tour of Pampoli and Bana areas of East kameng district and took stock of various ongoing and completed projects under MGNREGA and other schemes. They practically demonstrated the ways of Geo-tagging and highlighted about the features of the schemes. They suggested and instructed the officials and PRI leaders for proper utilization of fund and depiction of signboards with complete details of the work engraved on them. Acknowledging that the MGNREGA is the world’s largest social welfare scheme, Natung made an appeal to all stakeholders to work in tandem to bring the fruits of every developmental scheme at the doorsteps of the people. Speaking on the occasion, Special Secretary (RD) Nyali Ete opined an innovative way for better and judicious implementation of MGNREGA and other relevant schemes.

NAMSAI-   RSS’s Training Camp Conclude

The 20-day-long Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s officers’ training camp (OTC) which started here on May 1 last got concluded on Saturday with a valedictory function attended by dignitaries and public from different parts of Namsai, Changlang and Lohit districts. In total, 56 trainees and 12 trainers from various parts of Arunachal Pradesh participated in this camp. Speaking at the valedictory function, RSS Northeast Region Pracharak Ulhas Kulkarni emphasized that India’s glorious part has a great role to inspire not only the Indians but also the whole world. India as the land of great saints like Lord Buddha and Mahapurush Shankardeva can lead the world to peace, love and co-existence. He warned the audience to “be cautious about certain intolerant sections who spread divisive and segmented ideology to break our eternal civilization flow”.

Tawang Deputy Commissioner Sangey Phuntso inaugurated the two-month-long (May and June) Diabetes Awareness Months in a simple function at old market here yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, the DC called upon the public to come forward for the free screening of blood sugar for the timely detection and prevention of the disease. District Programme Officer (NPCDCS) Dr Sangey Thinley reiterated that the lifestyle diseases like diabetes and hypertension have huge burden and impact on the society. “Diabetes can be prevented if blood sugar is screened in time but once diagnosed, it can’t be cured and the patient is put under lifelong treatment,” he informed. More than 400 people screened their blood samples for diabetes. The programme, conceptualised by NCD cell, was backed by Social and Cultural Development Society and 38th Bn SSB, Tawang. District Medical Officer Wangdi Lama, Mukto Anchal Chairperson Namgey Tsering, Tawang BJP Yuva Morcha president Phurpa Lama, NGOs and public leaders also participated in the event.

ROING- VIII th Gora Pertin Memorial cup 2017

Valedictory function of VIII th Gora Pertin Memorial cup 2017 football tournament was organised  at Meka general ground.  Alo Libang, Minister (RD)  today kick off the closing event.  The organizing committee of the tournament  expressed gratitude to the Visiting dignitaries for their support in this endeavours. The final match was played between Khakee Special, Rayang team Vs Meka Banggo team. Khakee Special Rayang team won the match by 4-0. Best player award was given to i Dangki Lego, Meka Bango team, Best scorer to Milik Badu, Kayi FC and Mido Pertin, Jika- Jisong, Best Goalkeeper to shi Onom Lego, Khakee special Rayang and best discipline team was given to Kayi FC.  Winner cup along with Cash prize was also given to winning team and runner up team on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Alo Libang lauded the organizing committee for encouraging the youths in sports events and said that sport is a good activity for good health and learning discipline, cooperation and overall healthy growth especially for youths. PASIGHAT- Centre of Excellence Building inaugurated 

Minister Textiles and Handicrafts, Industries and Power,Tamiyo Taga, on Sunday inaugurated the Centre of Excellence Building for  promoting the Sericulture sector, at Sille. The training institute constructed under Centrally Sponsored Scheme – NERTPS,  with hostel facility will provide capacity building and technology transfer on Sericulture,  with the aim for economic empowerment of rural women. At present 600 women beneficiaries have been covered under the NERTPs in East Siang. Addressing the women beneficiaries, who attended in large numbers, Minister Textiles, Taga, while terming Seri culture as a viable economic activity , called upon them to take up and sustain their efforts with dedication for their economic empowerment, as the Centre has launched the scheme  with the aim of women empowerment. He underlined that Sericulture sector can boost the economic status of farmers and in view of the major role of Sericulture sector, he said  that there is a need  to set up a separate Directorate of Sericulture for promotion of the sector in a focused way.

RUKSIN- Tamiyo Taga recommends  distillery plant

Minister for Industry, Textile, Handicrafts and Power, Tamiyo Taga recommended installation of a distillery plant at Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) at Niglok in East Siang district. Addressing a public meeting at IGC premise on Sunday, Taga said the produce of the plants would be exported, and no liquor produced in it will be permitted for sale in Arunachal Pradesh and its neighbouring states. “It is a grain-based industry without any environmental pollution and equipped with the facility of recycling wastes,” Tage said, while clarifying the confusions over setting up of the plant. “We are not proposing installation of any liquor shop/outlet here, but taking up efforts to set up industry for production of high quality alcohol using locally available raw materials. The alcohol produced here will be supplied to distant places, which will be used for industrial and medicinal purposes”, said the minister. The state government invited Tsong Distilleries Pvt Ltd, a West Bengal based company to install a production unit therein, the minister informed.
