NAHARLAGUN-  Blood Donation

The officials and workers of automobile dealers located at Lekhi village between Naharlagun-Nirjuli on NH-415  donated bloods in the service of humanity. The voluntary blood donation camp which was organised by Neni Hyundai & Nigla Nissan in collaboration with Arunachal Vivekanda Yuwa Shakti (AVYS) Voluntary blood donors organisation under aegis of State blood Transfusion Council (SBTC), Directorate of Health Services, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun.The officials and workers of Neni Hyndai, Nigla Nishan, Renault and security personnel from ITBP voluntary donated a total of 48 units of blood for the humanity. Deputy Director, SBTC Dr. Nabam Budh, Tax & Excise Suptd Teli Tada, AVYS Chairman Ramesh Jeke motivated the donors and address the gathering. All these blood are being given to the needy people of state through different Hospitals and is one of the best social service to the humanity and thanks the people of capital complex in particular and state as a whole for their wholehearted support for the noble cause.

ANJAW- Road Conditions Monitored 

Amidst  rain affected conditions the PMGSY roads and bridges of Anjaw District is  being  monitored by  the national quality monitoring team  of PMGSY  roads for Anjaw Dist  represented by Mr. J. George, NQM who  is on tour of the district since 17/05/2017.   While  Road from BRO road to Yealiang was inspected on 17thMay,  the road from BRO road to Mechong was inspected on 18thMay’ along with  road from PWD road to Dwiliang. The road from PWD road to Glotong and road from Bajigam to Chakka was inspected on 19th May  while construction at Aphumna has been undertaken on  20th May’2017. The Deputy Commissioner, Mamata Riba who accompanied the NQM during the inspection  of PMGSY roads located at take off point to Mechong,  invited attention to the various disaster  prone sectors face by road construction agencies in the district as well as citizens due to instable soil conditions across the most of the district and specially at  Mechong area.

ITANAGAR- BKAS felicitates Yasung

The Byoda Kiila Aanii Society (BKAS), Ziro felicitated its member Kago Tadi Yasung here on Saturday for receiving the National Florence Nightingale Award from the President of India on May 12 last at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of International Nurses Day. On May 12, Yasung was also felicitated by the Trained Nurses’ Association of India for her distinguished services, while the Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council (APNC) also presented her with a certificate of appreciation for her contributions towards the continued success of the nursing profession. Yasung, who is the first staff nurse of the state, was stationed at the General Hospital Pasighat in 1981, before retiring on March 2017 as Matron in the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, Naharlagun. She was also the first president of the APNC from 2012 to 2015. The BKAS, Ziro is a group of Apatani women working together to empower women from all backgrounds and communities, and acknowledging their feats to further encourage them.

CHANGLANG- ULFA Cadre Apprehended 

the Changlang battalion of the Assam Rifles under the DAO Division carried out a major operation on 19 May 2017 at Ledo along Assam -Arunachal Pradesh border. The battalion apprehended one hardcore terrorist of ULFA(I), self styled Pvt Bikram Chakma. The cadre was nabbed with .22 cal pistol along with ammunition. On interrogation the cadre revealed the whereabouts of an OGW of NSCN(K) named Tara Chand who was involved in extortion activities and was providing support to the terrorists in the area. These cadres were working hand in hand terrorizing people to extort money from the area and were involved in various nefarious activities. This operation has tightened the noose and has brought relief to the local population. Assam Rifles once again stood by their motto ” Friends of the North East People”

Parliamentary Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Er. Tage Taki had a brief meeting with the Executive Engineers of PWD, Electrical, Urban and PHED at circuit house and discussed regarding financial and physical achievement of various infrastructural constructions within Hapoli township.  Later along with the department heads he inspected the township roads, culverts, drains, under construction outdoor Stadium and the multi storied car parking building.  The Parliamentary Secretary directed executing agency to complete the outdoor stadium before 15th August, so that ensuing Independence Day can be celebrated in a grand manner. The 4000 seating capacity outdoor stadium at the heart of Hapoli town will be one of its kind which will also lodge a shopping complex. He expressed satisfaction on the work progress but sternly reminded all the agencies to stick to the deadlines.

SEPPA- Refresher cum interactive training

One-day refresher cum interactive training for block and district level officials of East Kameng District on all schemes being implemented under RD department was held today here at Seppa. Inaugurating the training programme, Parliamentary Secretary (RD&PR and IPR & Printing) Mama Natung exhorted the participants to avail the opportunity at the fullest. He urged them to attend the training programme dedicatedly and delved into it as deep as possible so that after its completion one should become mastery in planning and implementation. Enlightening about the policy of the State govt. to implement all welfare schemes of the central govt. in true sense and spirit, Natung exhorted the BDOs and PRI members to play their part responsively and urged them to extend their support and cooperation for all round development of the district. Reiterating that a nation and its States will develop only when its districts are developed and the districts will develop only when its villages are developed, Natung further elaborated about the important roles of the department and admonished the officials and PRI leaders to leave no stone unturned for development of villages.

Prince Dhawan, Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex today flagged off road safety awareness rally. The Royal Arunachal riders in collaboration with district administration organized the rally from Akashdeep to D-sector IG park Itanagar. DC emphasised on importance of obeying traffic rules and advised the citizens to not be in hurry as life is precious, and the love ones wait for us at homes. He distributed pamphlets to create awareness about traffic rules and stickers were also distributed to motorcycle & four-wheelers riders. He further appealed the citizens to drive carefully and always obey traffic rules. Concerned over rise in road accidents and collisions across the State, DC announced that District Administration in collaboration with Police will soon start a concerted drive to check helmets, tripling on bikes, removing tinted glasses from motor vehicles and if any violating speed limits in the Capital Complex.
