Changlang-  Guv distributes Solar lights to villagers

Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra distributed solar lights to villagers and GBs of 30 villages under Changlang district in the 13 Assam Rifles cantonment at Jairampur today. 600 solar lights were distributed on the occasion under Assam Rifles Civic Action Plan.In his address, the Governor appreciated the zeal and commitment of the officers and all ranks of Assam Rifles. He felicitated them for their good works as the ‘Friends of the North East People’.

Itanagar- Kirtan for world peace

The Hari Nam Kritan Seva Samity, Ganga Itanagar began four days kritan here at Ganga Market for the world peace and prosperity. The four days kritan began today early morning at around 6 AM which shall continue and will conclude on February 3. Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) President Yumlam Achung said that such prayer programme is being organised by the Samity since 2001 and this is 17 th celebration.

Itanagar- Demand for Circle Officer

 The public of Gelling, Singa, Palleng and Meging appeal the state government for posting of regular Circle Officer and Medical Officer in respective Circle of the district. They said that due to none availability of Circle Administrator as well as supporting staffs the administrative and other official works of the local people are delayed and baldy hampered.

Roing- MRV Campaign launched in Lower Dibang Valley

The Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) in Lower Dibang Valley District was launched on wednesday by MLA Mutchu Mithi in presence of Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, ZPM Starson Saring, DMO Dr R Tatan, HoDs, PRI members, doctors and officials of District Hospital (Roing). MLA Mutchu Mithi saying that the MRVC is one of the biggest programmes undertaken by the central government and hoped that the district would achieve 100 percent vaccination rate, given the sparse population here.

Yupia- Awareness Programme on Tourism

The Tourism department organized an awareness programme on the occasion of the National Tourism Day at Borum Middle School here on Wednesday. Highlighting the importance of National Tourism Day, Papum Pare District Tourism Officer Tater Mize advised the school children to maintain good manners and imbibe the sense of responsibility towards protecting the nature and environment to enhance tourist flow in the area. Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operator Association (APTOA) president John Panye and Tourist Information Officer, Rechi Lugnya as resource persons highlighted career opportunities in the tourism sector and hospitality.

Doimukh- RGU celebrates Foundation day

The 35th Foundation Day of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), the lone central university in the state, will be celebrated at the university auditorium, Rono Hills here on 4 February. Chairman of National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI), Hyderabad Dr WG Prasanna Kumar will deliver a lecture on the topic ‘University-Community Partnership: A Need and a Reality’ on the occasion, informed Joint Registrar of the university Dr David Pertin.
