Itanagar-  Youth Arrested 

The capital  police here arrested two youths and detained nine others from Indira Gandhi Park, and seized psychotropic substances from their possession on Saturday evening.  On receiving information about the youths using drugs, ganja and alcohol inside the park, a police team raided the location and caught the youths with 136 tablets of Nitrazepam/Nitrosun 10, four packs of ganja, and several cans and bottles of beer and hard liquor. A case has been registered in this regard at the Itanagar police station.

Naharlagun-  workshop for Booth Level Committee 

One day workshop cum training of Booth Level Committee  (BLC) of BJP Capital District unit of held here at the conference Hall of Scouts & Guide at Polo Colony.  Addressing the gathering  local MLA Techi Kaso attending as chief guest said that anyone can become a leader but his dedication, sincerity and discipline is key of his/her success and appeal the workers and BLC to be sincere toward the part and work for the development of the area where they belongs. The best way to serve the party is to serve the humanity and society for the better cause.

Itanagar-  Ziro-Daporijo BRTF road

Expressing serious concern over the inordinate delay in construction of the road from 20-Km point on Ziro-Daporijo BRTF road, the Lower Subansiri District NABARD Road Committee has sought the State Govt’s intervention to ensure early construction of the road. The Committee, in a representation addressed to the Commissioner of Public Works Department, alleged that Rs 35.69 crore had been sanctioned for the construction of the said stretch of the road but the Yazali PWD Division has not completed the work, except carrying out formation cutting.

Roing- Job Mela

Sixty candidates participated in a ‘skill development sensitization, motivation and trainees selection rally’ organised here on Saturday by the Lower Dibang Valley industries department. At least six vocational training providers (VTP) counselled the candidates who registered during the job mela-cum-rally. “The VTPs assured 100 per cent job placement to the trainees selected during the mela,” informed ADI T Pertin. ADC Chestha Yadav was present during the rally to encourage the participants.

Roing-  Trauma care centre inaugurated

The district hospital here in Lower Dibang Valley district got a new trauma care centre, which was inaugurated by MLA Mutchu Mithi on Saturday.  The trauma care centre has been developed under SADA 2016-17 with Rs 81 lakh. Mithi suggested that corporate houses adopt a section, cell or wing of the hospital and provide manpower and equipment, “so that people can get all the facilities in the district hospital itself.”

Pasighat – Mass Rally for Traffic awareness

First ever mass traffic awareness rally was organized by All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) East Siang unit, at Pasighat on Saturday.  Superintendent of Police East Siang District, Mr. Prashant Gautam flag off the rally which commenced from 2 mile area Pasighat. The main objective of the rally was to inculcate traffic rules and to create awareness among the people.The rally witness around seven hundred (700) commercial vehicles, which include unions and associations affiliated to AAPPTF

Itanagar-   MGNREGA workshop

Block development officers (BDOs) from 11 districts participated in a two-day state level workshop on ‘Good governance and universalisation of electronic fund management system (e-FMS) for effective administration and implementation of MGNREGA’, which concluded at the SIRD conference hall here on Saturday.  The workshop was conducted jointly by the SIRD & PR and the rural development department. SIRD Director Nyali Ete explained the importance of good governance and e-FMS under the MGNREGA, and suggested to the BDOs to “generate committed person days as per the approval of the gram sabha and upload in MIS with target.”
