Aalo-  Jarkar Gamlin recently  inaugurated Dego secondary school

Aalo East MLA and APEDA chairman Jarkar Gamlin recently  inaugurated upgraded Dego secondary school . during the he  lauded effort of school authority and SMC for bringing good result despite shortcomings as a new school. He exhorted teaching community to keep up good work to impart quality education and advised students not to fall prey to vices that can ruin their life. he said some more fund will be earmarked for the school and asked school authority for planned growth of infrastructure in future.

Bomdila- Lok Adalat held 

The District legal Services Authority West kameng District has organised one day long Lok Adalat during National Lok Adalat day under the chairmanship of Gote Mega Additional, District and Session Judge Bomdila on 9th December 2017 at District court Building Complex Bomdila.   Advocate Khamu Desisow President Bomdila Bar Association, Advocate Kamla Dewan and  Niri Chongroju Chairman Child Welfare Committee Bomdila represented as member in this lok Adalat.   37 numbers of criminal compoundable cases were taken and out of 37 cases 12 cases were disposed off.

Nirjuli- Techi Kaso distributes Dustbins

Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso distributed  dustbins in ward No 29 here on Saturday. on behalf of Itanagar Municipal Council, he lauded the team efforts in intensifying Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The  charges (Traders- Rs 200, residents- Rs 100 and vendors- Rs 50) per head was low which should be voluntarily paid as IMC has engaged 22 labourers for the cleaning operation. He also requested Naharlagun Bazar Welfare Committee to allow IMC to do the cleaning work in their place. The dustbins were also installed in identified locations for proper use.

Aalo-  17 Garwal Rifle,  gearing up various games and sports

The 17 Garwal Rifle, Army Cantonment Bogdo is gearing up various games and sports t in the run up to Vijay Diwas with civil populace of the district. To start with, Aalo Half Marathon, with a distance of 21 km starting from Aalo Military Football Ground passing through Patum Bridge, Kabu village and culminating at Aalo Market Ground will be conducted from 15th December. All age group can participate in the race starting at 6am. In another event of Get Set Cycle race covering a distance of 30km will also commence on the same day from Aalo Military Football field covering Patum Bridge, Pobdi Bridge Up to Aalo Market Ground again The Army has got overwhelming response from various corners for the football tournament which is also being organised to mark the Vijay Diwas Celebration at Aalo in a befitting manner.

Itanagar- Cleanliness drive 

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel, along with NSS volunteers and faculty members of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) participated in a cleanliness drive in the university’s campus on Saturday. The drive was organised by the NSS cell of RGU and the university’s Education department, in collaboration with the 12th battalion of the NDRF. Dr Vivek Singh lauded A Kiran Chand Singh, Commandant of 12th Bn NDRF, Doimukh for their valuable services to the university. Prof A K Das appreciated the NDRF team for their noble gesture and stressed that such activities would encourage RGU fraternity to keep the campus clean.

Itanagar- Training programme on Dairy Farm Management

The five-day training programme on Dairy Farm Management concluded on Saturday at Central Cattle Breeding Farm, Nirjuli with 18 trainees from the North East Multipurpose Development Society (NEMDS). Master trainer Dr Taking Gammi, Senior Veterinary Officer, elaborately trained the trainees about Mission and objective of dairy farm, how to start commercial dairy farming, selection of site, models of buildings, arts of procurement of cattle, importance of breeding, feeding, genetics about calves, heifers, cows and bull. He also demonstrated artificial insemination, demonstrated natural service with cow and bull, practical milking and feeding by trainees to the adult cow and calves etc.

Itanagar- SDHSC Demand Boleng as HQ of Siang 

The Siang District headquarters Selection Committee, (SDHSC) on Saturday reiterated its demand to the state government for early declaration of Boleng as the permanent headquarters of Siang district, considering the past recommendations by various committees. Referring to its meeting held in August 2012, the committee claimed that selection of Boleng as the headquarters had been finalized in that meeting, which had been chaired by Tagom Tasing and Tapang Tamut, Vice Chairman SDHSC.
