Itanagar- Srava Dharma  Sammelan 

The BJP State President Tapir Gao while Encouraging  the party workers not to discuss about the religion and appealed all the workers to spread the news that the BJP is not for any religion but BJP works for the development of the country. Further he said that Christian and Muslim are  in BJP and congress as well but why this is deference this is called Political language, BJP party is not just a party only to get Votes but it’s a social work. Tapir was speaking in Sarva Dharma Sammelan held at Itanagar on Thursday.

Itanagar-  Develop tourism industry in the State- Governor 

The Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Govt. of India, Naveen Verma called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 8th December 2017. They discussed on issues related to the development of Arunachal Pradesh. The Governor emphasised on the need to develop tourism industry in the State. Reiterating on connectivity, the Governor said that roads and air connectivity schemes must be promoted by the Ministry of DoNER on priority basis for the State. The Governor stressed on expediting the development projects under DoNER and NEC in Arunachal Pradesh.

Itanagr-  Arunachal teams gold, silver, bronze

Arunachal Pradesh karatekas have bagged eight medals (2 gold, 3 silver & 3 bronze) in six-day 63rd National School Game U-17 (Karate) which concluded at Guwahati on Friday . The winners included: Gold: Anand Cheri of Itanagar Exalt Foundation School (75-kg); Samen Romat of Sangey Ladhen Sports Academy (66-kg); Silver: Doni Neri of Naharlagun G-Sector GS School (70-kg);  Kyabo Liyang of Polo Colony GHS School (50-kg); Paching Lily of Naharlagun GHS School (68-kg); Bronze: Tadam Doyom of Lingram (Daporijo) Govt. upper primary school (54-kg); Yalam Maying of Rijo (Daporijo) GS School (60-kg); Yanam Jeke of Daporijo GHS School (64-kg), according to an Arunachal Karate-do Association (AKA) release.

Itanagar – Arunachal taekwondo team

 The Arunachal taekwondo team has own laurels for the state by winning seven medals (6 gold & a  bronze) in three-day 36th Kyorugi & 9thPoomsae Senior National Taekwondo Championship 2017 which concluded at Haridwar in Uttarakhand on December 3 last. The medal winners are: Gold: Mari Karbak – individual Poomsae under 40-year; Biri Takar – mix pair Poomsae U-40-year; Honi Yader – mix pair Poomsae U-40-year; Tana Suraj – group Poomsae U-30-year; Ranjit Biswakarma – group Poomsae U-30-year; Gangphung Gangsa- group Poomsae U-30-year;  Bronze:  Deepak Gurung -individual Poomsae U-50-year..

Nharlagun- Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament

Preparations are over and the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here is all set to host the final round of the 16th Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament from December 9 to 20. Teams representing 11 districts will vie with each other for top honours during the 12-day tournament. Defending champions West Siang will lock horns with East Siang in the tournament opener. The inaugural ceremony will start at 1 pm.

Itanagar- Table Tennis Arunachal

Table Tennis Arunachal (TTA) has selected eight players for the 79th Cadet, Sub-Junior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championships-2017 to be held at SP Mukherjee Indoor Hall in Goa from 14 to 19 December. The team includes four men and an equal number of women paddlers, who have been selected on the basis of their performance in the 2nd State Olympic Games-2017. The team is as- The Team: (Men) Nalo Komut, Tarak Maph, Bralo Misso, Getit Nopi,(Women) Neelam Dilli, Nali Meto, Eme Mili, Biri Yakap. Gouridas Oinam and Kimi Haider are the team manager and coach.

Pasighat- Blood Donation Camp 

Thirteen units of blood were collected in a blood donation camp organised on Friday  by the Bakin Pertin general hospital in collaboration with HDFC Bank, Pasighat. Addressing participants after inaugurating the camp, medical superintendent, Dr YR Darang highlighted the importance of blood donation. Stating that blood cannot be manufactured, she said, it only comes from generous donors. Bakin Pertin general hospital blood bank officer, Dr G Jonkey advised the people to come forward and donate blood generously. HDFC branch manager, Priya Madhab Baruah was also present.

Itanagar- Daniel Teli appointed as NSG referee

The organising committee of the 63rd National School Games (Weightlifting) has appointed Daniel Teli as one of the referees. He became the first from the state to be appointed as a weightlifting referee in the National School Games (NSG). Teli, general secretary of the Arunachal Weightlifting Association, is also leading the state weightlifting team as chef-de-mission in the National School Games, which began in Dispur, Assam, on 7 December.
