ITANAGAR- All Party meeting on Chakma- Hajong Issues 

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has convened an All Party Meeting to discuss the issue relating to granting of citizenship to Chakma and Hajongs. The meeting has been fixed on 19th June next at 10:00 hrs in the Chief Minister’s Conference hall. The meeting is expected to be attended by representatives of all political parties for discussing at length all the relevant issues pertaining to grant of citizenship rights to Chakma and Hajongs so as to arrive at a consensus.  It may also be mentioned that the Cabinet meeting held on August 24, 2016 had decided to have an all party meeting on the issue.

PASIGHAT-  Monsoon Preparedness

Deputy Commissioner cum District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Tamiyo Tatak chaired a coordination meeting with the civil officers, military officers and councillors of Pasighat Municipal Council today to review  the issues related to monsoon preparedness, including disaster management plans, and emphasized on greater co-ordination among various government departments.  Tatak  said that during monsoon floods, landslides, fire and epidemics occur on a regular basis causing enormous physical damage during flood like situation. He reviewed future rescue operation plans, identification of vulnerable areas and safe and open fields, crisis management plan etc. “Such meeting helps to promote preparedness and facilitate sustainable solutions. Landslides and floods are among the principle recurring hazards. As the monsoon is approaching, we need to focus on empowering local bodies, raising awareness and capacity building at all levels. Community coordination and use of modern techniques are essential to manage and mitigate disasters”, opined the DC.

ITANAGAR- DC Visits Lekhi Village 

The Capital Complex, DC, Prince Dhawan, IAS today conducted surprise visit to schools of Lekhi village and Tarajuli under the Capital Complex along with  Nabam Philip, ASM and  Techi Jobae, Executive Engineer (RWD). During the visit the DC shocked by the miserable condition of the schools and showed serious concern over the same. He further requested the ASM, Lekhi and Executive Engineer, RWD to make proposal for remapping of the schools infrastructure and connecting road infrastructure. The DC said that he will conduct more such visits to all schools of Capital Complex to make a firsthand assessment of the state of education system. He will also prepare proposals for Kayakalp of these schools.

ITANAGAR- Joint Inspection at Karsingsa 

A joint inspection was carried out by the District Magistrate, Capital Complex and Executive Engineer PWD (Highway) at the Karsingsa Block Point under NH 415 where a portion of chainage no. 52.7 was washed away due to torrential rain. It was found out that if incessant rain continues for some more days the whole road is likely to be washed away. As of now only one vehicle at a time can pass and the frequent heavy vehicular movement may further result into curving of road. Therefore, considering the vulnerability of situations heave traffic movement at NH 415 an order was issued by District Magistrate, Capital Complex under Disaster Management Act 2005 No. 53 of 2005 to rebuild the road by demolishing the tourist lodge boundary wall for the time being as temporary measure to immediately restore two way traffic.

ZIRO-  Awareness Programme on “Segregation of waste under Swachh Bharat Mission”

The Department of Urban Development and Housing,  Ziro Division conducted an awareness program on the theme “Segregation of waste under Swachh Bharat Mission” today at Hapoli on the lines of World Environment Day celebrations. Attending the program as the chief guest, Parliamentary Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Er. Tage Taki said that cleanliness is a way of life, which cannot be imposed upon. It has to be voluntarily developed and religiously practiced. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political will to create a clean environment, which should be wholeheartedly supported by all of us. “The largest chunk of garbage is generated by the shopkeepers, vegetable vendors and the trading community. I am open to all suggestions and willing to take your cause of garbage management system with the higher authorities, “he added and exhorted the Bazaar Welfare Communities to chalk out strategies in collaboration with the UD department to deal with the garbage mess.

AALO-  Annual Action Plan for Panchayat

The Annual Action Plan for Panchayat for the year 2016-18 was finalised in a  meeting held under the Chairmanship of Smti Swetika Sachan ADC cum DPDO today. The status of work under FFC 2015-16 was also thoroughly reviewed in  the meeting.  Spelling out the objective behind the meeting, the ADC stressed on proper  coordination among three tiers of Panchayat and government officials for proper  implementation of development works right from the grass root level. She insisted on  social audit, submission of utilization certificate, motoring of all schemes and  preparation of photographs on all success stories. Participating in the discussion the  West Siang Zilla Parishad Smti Yaman Bagra said that though planning process are  exclusively initiated by the Gram Sabha, three tiers of Panchayat should get involved in  the planning process and identification of all viable and feasible schemes.  The Zilla Parishad members who participated in discussion stressed on proper intimation of  schemes taken at Gram Sabha and time to time intimation to them to monitor implementation  of schemes at their level. All line departments also took part inthe deliberation.

AALO- Governing Body Meeting of DRDA

The Governing Body Meeting of DRDA held under the Chairmanship of Gamli Padu,  West Siang Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer DRDA at DCs Conference Hall reviewed block wise CSS programme in the district today. Initiating the discussion, the DC asked all the BDOs to complete their uploading works and update every works as per central guidelines and norms so that delay in two three blocks do not hamper other performing blocks of the district. The inordinate delay will hamper budgetary grant from the central government meant for the poverty alleviation programmes in the district. The West Siang Zilla Parishad Chairperson Smti Yaman Bagra also exhorted all functionaries to work in a coordinated manner for overall development of poor section of our society.


The DFSMEC, meeting was held today at DC’s Conference hall among the members under NFSM 2016-17. While welcoming the members present A. D. Panggam, DDA cum Member Secretary DFSMEC explained the aims & objective of the meeting. M. Ete, ADO (Hq.) read out details of components under NFSM and Block wise allocation of Scheme. He apprised the members present that distribution of various inputs under NFSM have been completed in all circle. All the member present expressed their views & suggestion. They opined that the new high yielding varieties should be introduced for more production & categorically said that rampant use of PP chemical should be discouraged, as it deteriorate the soil condition. Remo Kamki, DC cum Chairman DFMSEC, NFSM emphasized on the role of KVK and said that KVK is the key institution to provide sufficient knowledge to the farmers. He asked the dealing officers of Agri Department to create awareness among the farmers & PRI members. He stressed on collective approach of officers, PRI members & farmers foe successful implementation of scheme.

AALO- 31 students of RKMS  got 10 CGPA 

Altogether 31 students of Rama Krishna Mission School, Aalo got 10 CGPA  marks out of 134 students that appeared for CBSE class X exam this year and minimum  marks of a student is 8 CGPA. The elated Secretary of the School Swami  Purnajnanananda has expressed his gratitude to all teachers, guardians, school management  committee and government authorities for helping the school to achieve such brilliant  and outstanding results of class X students. Rama Krishna Mission School, Aalo has been catering educational  needs of the state for last 51 years as a premier institution and many ex-students of  the school are holding important positions in different sections of the society to serve  the nation. ITANAGAR- Fake MBBS Certificate 

Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council is a Statutory body by Act no.4, 2004 of Govt.of A.P. Being a Regulatory body the APMC ensures mandatory Registration of all Modern medicine practioners such as MBBS, MD,MS, MCh, DM etc. One Rajendra Prasad Jayasawal of U.P submitted MBBS orginal documents for Registration with this Medical Council to practice in our state. He claim to have obtained MBBS from Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Udaipur. APMC verified with the Dean of that Medical College who informed in written that all MBBS related documents were fake and not issued by his College. APMC, had filed FIR with PS Naharlagun taking cognigence of it. The accused was arrested by Police today at 10.15 am at the entrance of the DHS Office.
