Arunachal- State News in Brief 07th April 2017Dirang-  Guv meets with Dalai Lama 

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh P.B. Acharya met His Holiness the 14thDalai Lama at Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery, Dirang, 45 km from Bomdila in West Kameng District on 6th April 2017. State’s First Lady Smt Kavita Acharya accompanied the Governor to the meeting. They exchanged greetings and shared religious views. Recalling his journey in March 1959, His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the people of India and Arunachal Pradesh for the warm reception accorded to him. He said that India is the only country which combines modern education and technology to tackling destructive and negative forces.His Holiness further said that ancient Indian provides mental peace. In brief but poignant meeting, the Governor also shared his views on Buddhism and Hinduism.

Dirang- Guv Visits Regional Sheep Breeding Farm

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Shri P.B. Acharya visited the Regional Sheep Breeding Farm, Sangti, 12 km from Dirang in West Kameng District on Thursday.  Accompanied by the State’s First Lady Smt Kavita Acharya and Secretary to Governor  Vinod P Kavle, the Governor went around the farm and interacted with the officials and staff. The Governor exhorted the officials to properly maintain the farm in order to produce best wool from the sheep. He emphasised that the people of the State, particularly, the sheep rearing farmers of the district must be benefited. The Governor said that the Farm should financially empower the local people. He advised them to use latest technologies and innovative ideas. The Governor was pleased to learn that whatever products such as sheep wool and sheep dung were sold to local people.

Itanagar- BJP Celebrates Party’s 37th foundation day

Yingkiong- RSS Organised ITC Camp

RSS organized Initial Training Camp (ITC) camp which began at VKV here on Tuesday last. 42 children from 7 blocks of Upper Siang are participating in this camp. During the camp, which is being attended by resource persons like Regional Sewa Prasmuk, Rajesh Deshkar, Arunachal Pradesh Prant Prachak, Sunil Mohonty and Vibheg Prasharat Siang Vivak, Kamlesh Kumar, training will be imparted to the participants on Yoga, games & sports, patriotic Songs etc.

Pema Khandu led state government is committed to provide healthy and clean environment to live in and we will continue to work closely with the people providing quality latrines to individual household, stated the PHE & Water Supply and IPR and Printing Minister Bamang Felix today here at the Siang Guest House conference hall. Speaking on the occasion Mr Felix said that  Building toilets to every household is one of the major promises of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Creating sustainable sanitation solutions and changing attitudes and behaviours of the people is our social responsibility under Swachh Bharat Mission Sanitation.

Tezu- loom, accessories, yarns distrbuted to weavers

A simple but attractive programme to provide free improved loom, accessories, yarns  etc. to weavers was arranged under Chief Minister’s Indigenous Textile Promotion Scheme (CMITPS) on 5th April 2017 at DIC Conference Hall, Tezu by the Dept. of Textile & Handicrafts, Tezu, Lohit District. Dr Mohesh Chai, Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry & Vety., Diary Dev., Art & Culture and Research and the Deputy Commissioner  Danish Ashraf present on occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively along with HODs. Hon’ble Minister and D. C Lohit, gave away the free tools and yarns to the 116 beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Minister said that receiving free looms and accessories means receiving responsible to preserve the tradition and culture of our district. The scheme should bring a new beginning to boost to wear and use traditional dresses. D.C Lohit suggested SHG may be formed from the beneficiaries of the village to expose the finished articles to other states.

Aalo – Mopin Festival Celebrated 

The central Mopin Festival organised by CMCC Aalo was celebrated amid traditional fanfare and gaiety at Gumin Kiin today. Giving his Mopin greeting as Chief Guest on the auspicious occasion, Tamiyo Taga Minister Power and Industries said that festival always exposé our rich culture and our age old culture gives us a distinct identity. This age old culture needs proper documentation and preservation for future generations and mode of celebrations of festival should not be very expensive and go unmanageable in the years to come. He disclosed many of the schedule tribes in the world have lost identities and recognitions due to loss of culture, language and dialects and we should feel proud that it is still vibrant among different clans in this state. The festival should act as platform to bring oneness, mutual trust, goodwill and understanding among various communities to keep up and protect our rich culture and heritage.

Yupia- Review Meeting  on DBT and Aadhaar

DC Tai Kaye conducted a review meeting with DMO, DDSE,PD, DRDA and DF&CSO, DRCHO, CO( e governance), Dy. Director (ICDS) and DIO (NIC) on performance of DBT and Aadhaar seeding process of beneficiaries in the district today in his office chamber. All HODs present apprised the DC about the present status of their department. During the thread bare discussion, it was discussed that slow progress of Aadhaar card enrolment and bank account opening process is due to lack of awareness among the people, interior locations and insufficient budgetary support. Further, it was decided in the meeting that there should be door to door campaign on Aadhaar card enrolment with sufficient budgetary support and awareness on mobile banking facilities with the support of banks in the interior areas of the district where there is lack of banking facilities.

Pasighat – Mission Indradhanush(MI) in East Siang

DC East Siang cum Chairman District Health Society, Tamiyo Tatak , has asked  for  ensuring 100%  vaccine coverage  of targeted children  under Mission Indradhanush(MI) in East Siang. The third round under the fourth phase of MI begins from April 7 to 14 next. He was addressing the stakeholders at the District level Task Force Immunisation (DTFI) review meeting on MI and IPPI today. He directed the DMO and DRCHO to constantly monitor the performance and asked the Medical officers , to  proactively guide and sensitize the Paramedical staff  at their respective PHCs and CHCs. Since the Social sector is given top priority, he said that the nationwide exercise is constantly monitored by the PMO.
