Itanagar- Swachhata Hi  Seva Campaign at Doimukh

12th Bn NDRF doimukh conducted swachh Bharat abhiyan under ” Swachhata Hi  Seva Campaign” at Doimukh market area. The campaign is conducted under command of A.K.C Singh commandant 12th Bn NDRF, Arun Deogam 2nd in command along with other officers, sub- ordinate officer and jawans participated in this campaign. Market committee president  Tana Angul also participated to clean market.

Itanagar- 63rd National School Games for Boxing

Two boys and three girls from Arunachal Pradesh entered into the quarterfinals of the 63rd National School Games for Boxing (U-17) being held in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. The young pugilists, who have entered into the quarterfinals, are Kane Natung and Kaken Hania in boys 46kg and 52kg category respectively, and Nandeya Mekola (42kg), Yukar Amak (48kg) and Bamang Yape (52kg) in girls section. Eight boxers have lost in the pre-quarterfinals.

Sagalee- 88 girls undress punishment- Enquiry begins 

The state Education Department has initiated inquiry into the incident at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Sagalee, where 88 girl students were allegedly forced to undress in front of other students by three female teachers. The Education department has received an order from the NHRC, and inquiry initiated. The Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner, Tai Kaye. and two officials from the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) visited the school to conduct on-the-spot inquiry.

Naharlagun-  training programme on Power and functions

A three-day training programme on ‘Power and functions of DDOs’ for group A & B officers of legal metrology & consumer affairs department (LMCAD) begun at Administrative Training Institute here today. ATI Pate Marik, addressing 22 officers of inspector to deputy controller ranks, has stressed that the DDOs have great responsibilities towards financial discipline but involves high risk factors, according to an official release.

Tezu-  Rape attempt by a Govt employee

The Bellai Welfare Society (BWS) today demanded exemplary punishment against a government employee who has been accused of a rape attempt on a girl in Tezu on December 1 last. A case has been registered under Section 376/511/324 against one Dinathso Chaitom, development officer, textile and handicraft of Anjaw district, for assaulting a girl who had resisted to his sexual advances.
The crime, reportedly, took place at the premises of the office-cum-craft centre, textile and handicraft here in Lohit district.

Ziro- Finacial help by Media to Fire victims

The Arunachal Press Club (APC), Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalist (APUWJ) and Arunachal Electronic Media Association (AEMA) provided financial help to the victims of the recent fire accidents that took place at Hari village and Kudung Barang of Ziro in Lower Subansiri district.
A cash amount of Rs 6,200 each was handed over to the 11 victims of Hari village and the lone victim of Kudung Barang in presence of zilla parishad member and gaon burahs.

Seppa- Preparation for By Polls 

Election Commission of India general observer, M Joy Singh today reviewed the preparations for bypoll for Pakke-Kessang assembly seat in East Kameng district.During the meeting, Singh reviewed the DEM plan, EVMs, status of polling stations, trainings and randomization of police personnel with East Kameng district election officer and also returning officer, Rajeev Takuk and superintendent of police, Vikas Kumar.
