Aalo- Special camp at JNV School
NSS unit of SFS College Aalo conducted its second special camp at JNV School Kombo under the active initiation of Mr. Reyom Ete, Programme Officer on 2nd April last. The day begun with the short interaction programme with teachers and students of JNV. Dr. Suman of JNV appreciated the team and advised the students to take up such activities regularly to impart the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the society. Mr. V.K. Pandey, Principal, JNV also spoke on the occasion. The entire campus was thoroughly cleaned during the morning hours followed by sports activities like Basketball, Volleyball etc. and cultural events. Altogether 70 volunteers took part during the day long programme along with the Eight staff members including Fr. Vipin George, Principal, SFS College.
Aalo – NEFTU celebrates Pre-Mopin Festival
The North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) celebrated the first ever Pre-Mopin Festival at the University campus on 31st March last. Er.Gemar Padu, Secretary CMCC Aalo and Professor R. Sugathan, Pro-Vice Chancellor NEFTU graced the auspicious occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Er. Padu agve his mopin greeting to teaching faculty and students, he exhorted the students to work hard in studies to achieve the desired goal in life and teachers to provide quality education. Professor R. Sugathan emphasised to have dream and vision for future and urged students to preserve the age-old culture. President Mr. Gamli Loyi, Assistant Professor, Vice President Mr. Lijum Ete Lecturer, Secretary Mr. Ravi Nath, Mr. Manuj Chettry, NEFTU Students of different subcommittees worked hard to make the celebration a success.
Aalo – Educational Excursion Tour
The 20th Bn. I.T.B. Police conducted an Educational Excursion tour for students under Civic Action programme to Delhi, Agra, Amritsar and Wagha Border from 15th to 30th March last. 15 boys and girls students along with four teachers of ITBP Public School were selected for the excursion. The Excursion Team visited historical places like Rashtrapati Bhawan, Rajghat, Lal Qila, India Gate, Nehru Planetarium, Qutub Minar, Rail Museum, Lotus Temple, Taj Mahal of Agra, Jaliawala Bag at Amritsar, Ranjit Singh Memorial, Golden Temple and Parade Retreat at Wagha Border, Delhi Metro and Parliament House and got that rare occasion to meet Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Director General, I.T.B.P. The Excursion team returned to District Headquarters safely on 30st March last.
Yupia- Review meeting of Tax and Excise
A review meeting with Superintendent Tax and Excise Itanagar, Naharlagun, Banderdewa and Kimin was held at Conference hall of DC Yupia on Monday. Presiding over the meeting Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Tai Kaye instructed all the officers to place their grievances in the departmental review meeting to be held anytime soon with HCM. Tax collection, revenue generation, infrastructure developments were discussed in the meeting. Shifting of Wine Shop from 500mtr periphery of National Highway and State Highway were also discussed. All Superintendents Tax and Excise presented their revenue collection during 2016-17. As per the report in the revenue collection there was 10 to 15% increase. During the meeting Inspectors Tax and Excise were also present.
Pasighat- NFSA 2013 Monitoring
As part of its mandate to monitor the implementation of the food and nutrition schemes in the state under NFSA 2013, Information Commissioner Nanom Jamoh, today took a meeting with concern officials and asked for evolving and adopting best practices and methods for strengthening the delivery of MDM, ICDS for providing nutritional support and food security. Jamoh appreciated the initiative for taking up kitchen gardens in the schools of East Siang which she hoped would enhance the quality and quantity of Mid day meals. The state cabinet has allocated the additional responsibility of the monitoring and review of the implementation of the NFSA to the State Information Commission in June 2016.
