Arunachal : Rijiju appeal the people to cooperate for construction of Potin-Pangin TAH

Rijiju said that people need to cooperate the state government in carrying out several development project, specially in construction of Potin-Pangin TAH.

Union Minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju today appeal the people to cooperate government and administration so that the connectivity and other developmental schemes and project of state is immediately done

Rijiju was addressing series of Mopin festival celebration in West Siang, Lower Siang and Upper Subansiri from April 4 to April 6.

On April 4 Rijiju attended golden jubilee celebration at Kamba in West Siang and on April 5 Rijiju attended Mopin celebration at general ground at Tribin in Lower Siang .

Today ( Friday ) MOS (Home) Kiren Rijiju attended Mopin festival celebration in Upper Subansiri district wherein the people were very enthusiastic in participating the function as several cultural and sporting activities including rituals and Exhibition were  attraction of the 45th Mopin Celebration at Baririjo which began on April 4 to 7.

Addressing the function at Baririjo and Maro MOS (Home) Kiren Rijiju said that festival is for fanfare, peace and prosperity of community, society and mankind for all.

He said that everyone have choice to opt their own religion and food habits but the festivals celebration shows the oneness and communal harmony but it resemble the tradition and rich cultural value of the tribal people of the state. we have to preserve our identity and for which such festivals of different community need to be celebrated by one and all irrespective of different faith and religion.

Speaking on the development sector Rijiju said that people need to cooperate the state government and district administration in carrying out several development project in different parts of state, specially in construction of Potin-Pangin TAH.

Taking a dig on Trans Arunachal Highway  ( TAH ) from Potin-Pangin he said that even after sanction of the project before 2010 and award of work in 2012 it have not been executed due to non availability of clearance of land by the administration and the contractor have pulled themselves back from the project and now the government will again float tender in 9 different package for 407 KM stretch and tender process would be done soon.

He said till tender work is done the administration will have to maintain the road by way of repairing and maintenance and of which an amount of 60 crore have been approved while 30 crore have been sanction.

On few demand raised by the locals Rijiju announced to complete carpeting of road measuring 13 KM at Maro, a memorial gate in name of late AT Kulo, while he said that the road to Taksing will be connected very soon by 2019.

He further assured to take care of any schemes and project which are sent  by the state government and public representative in the interest of the state and its people for approval of central government at New Delhi.
