Arunachal: Refrain from gambling or face action- Capital Police warned gamblers

Capital Police in a strong message today have warned the gamblers found gambling in the capital complex  to face stern action as per law. He appeal the general public to disassociate from gamblers and refrain from gambling.

SP Capital M Harsha Vardhan warned those are involved in gambling either in Market places or in colony or other places. He informed that Itanagar Police has started sustained action against gambling in the District.

A team led by SDPO Itanagar Kamdam Sikom raided a location near Ganga Market clock tower today evening and arrested three persons for indulging in gambling.  A Case has been registered in this regard at Itanagar Police Station.

The raid was conducted at  weekly market in Pappu Nallah on Wednesday and arrested one Rai Kilo for running a dice gambling racket.  A Case was registered at Naharlagun Police Station.

Earlier, on Tuesday, raids were conducted in Gohpur weekly Market but the gamblers managed to escape when police arrived. Gambling material were seized by police.

Meanwhile SP said that  the raids are being conducted in weekly market of the capital complex and will be continue.
