Arunachal: Rebia assured all support to the artisan of Tani Hapa village

Government of Arunachal Pradesh will provide all possible help and support for promotion of artesian of Tani Hapa Village, and upheld their innovative – Nabam Rebia

Banderdewa 

Minister Urban Development, Land Management, Town Planning, Law & Judicial Nabam Rebia today visited Tani Hapa Village under Pichola Panchayat of Banderdewa Circle bordering Assam alogwith other officers and PRI members and IMC Councillor of Banderdewa Tai Tassung to know the first hand knowledge about the local women involved in the production of local ornament and majority of the women of the village and panchayat are involve in the production of local ornament but need some support and blessing from the authority and government.

Rebia visited more than 7 such sheds out of total 32 sheds where the local women were seen working and found preparing local ornaments, the artesian demonstrated the process of preparation of ornament and items and materials utilised in production of the same were shown to the visitors.

Minister Rebia was surprised and was quite happy to see the enthusiasm, dedication and sincerity and labour put up  by the locals artesian of mostly are women and the innovative idea involve in production of local ornaments which are used by the tribal people of state in all occasion like marriage, festivals and felicitation of guest, gift and which make a decoration and add to the value.

This scribe when contacted few artesian they said that for last more than five years we are engaged in this profession and now we don’t get time for other works and changed out routine of work from cultivation and other works to this profession and are fully engaged ourselves in production of several ornaments (local). The raw materials are being brought from West Bengal and even from other parts of the region. These finished products range from 100 to 10000 and even higher. They can produce any ornament if any design is brought to them and they are now fully skilled and their family are totally depended on this business now but they need some support and blessing by the leader and government.

Rebia while addressing the gathering at a function organised by local youth leader Biri Tamin said that the government of Arunachal Pradesh have already declared Tani Hapa village under Banderdewa Circle as one of the artesian village of state.

He said that the dignity of labour never goes invain and it need to be recognised by the society and people. There is a need of a market for business of the finished products in capital and better shed for the artesian so that they can work sincerely without any disturbance with some facilities like water and power supply and sanitation which need to be taken care and he assured that his government under the leadership of Pema Khandu and Chowna Mein and under his active supervision and guidance all possible support will be taken care off.

In response to some of problems of rural connectivity with village Ruru Hapa village with Tani Hapa village Rebia announced a sum of Rupees Fifty Lakh for construction of Rural Link Road from PMGSY road to Ruru Hapa Via Tani Hapa measuring 3 Kilometre which would be taken up shortly and directed the RWD Executive Engineer Techi Jobae who was there to immediately to start the work.

While talking to media person from both Arunachal and Assam Rebia lauded the dignity of labour put up by the local women artesian of Tani Hapa, he show his happiness with the culture adopted by the local women in engaging themselves and are skilled too and emphasis the finished products to be done in best possible way so that all their bye products are sold in local market and they received the best price of their products. He will immediately discuss the matter with the officers so that some more facilities and infrastructure are created.

He will also pursue for establishment of small scale industry for the artesian. He recall about production of such product by one Yorum Nillo of same area and one Tame Sonam of Naharlagun some few years back but now the strength have increase which is a good sign of involvement of work culture specially by the women folk of the area.

Earlier Rebia and his team members visited the PMGSY road from Banderdewa to Tani Hapa and proposed RLR site between Ruru Hapa and Tani Hapa village with the officers and local leaders of the area.
